Crystal Jade Golden Palace offers an elegant and refined dining atmosphere, with tasteful décor, comfortable seating, and a sophisticated ambience. It’s been a favourite restaurant for celebrations and family gatherings for years now (mine included).
Its diverse menu features a wide range of dishes, including dim sum, seafood, roasted meats, soups, and various speciality dishes that highlight regional Chinese cuisines.
If you have the opportunity to visit, I highly recommend trying its Peking duck, which comes with plum, sugar, and garlic condiments to enhance the flavour. It’s pricey but delicious.
Marché Mövenpick

Marché Mövenpick features an interactive marketplace concept which I found intriguing. Guests can explore different food stations and watch as their dishes are freshly prepared in front of them.
I was also able to customise my meals! The options include made-to-order pasta, pizzas, salads, and grilled meats so diners can create their unique culinary creations.
Another plus is that it’s a family-friendly environment, with dedicated kids’ menus, play areas, and activities, ensuring an enjoyable experience for the whole family.

If you’re on the hunt for a slice of French heaven without breaking the bank, then you simply cannot miss Saveur. This place is a true gem where affordability meets culinary wizardry.
The menu reads like a love letter to your taste buds, with dishes like duck confit and beef bourguignon that are executed with the precision of a Michelin-starred maestro.
And the best part? Saveur uses only fresh and seasonal produce as ingredients! Quelle joie!

If you’re craving sushi in between all the shopping and exploring, I recommend The Sushi Bar on Orchard Road. I find that it offers a good balance between quality and affordability.
I always take time to appreciate the skilled sushi chefs’ precision and artistry in their craft. Each sushi roll or nigiri is visually appealing, fresh, and flavorful even after several orders.
And here’s the kicker: their omakase menu lets you view the Sushi Bar’s chefs in action as they prepare unique and seasonal dishes in front of you!
Lawry’s The Prime Rib

Feel like treating yourself to some prime rib roast? Lawry’s is renowned for its carefully aged, seasoned, and slow-roasted to perfection prime ribs, resulting in tender, flavorful, and succulent cuts of meat.
Is it pricey? Yes. 285 grams of “Lawry’s Cut” will cost you S$145. But oh, is it worth it.
Start the dining experience with the famous spinning bowl salad. Servers skillfully prepare this unique salad at your table, tossing fresh greens with their special dressing (talk about dinner entertainment!).
If you’re feeling extra atas, sommeliers can assist you in choosing the perfect wine pairing to enhance the flavours of your dishes.

Should you find yourself feeling extra famished, visit the Instagrammable PS.Cafe. Its menu includes burgers, pasta, salads, and a fusion of international flavours and dishes against a gorgeous backdrop.
You can indulge in desserts or artisanal cakes while seated indoors or enjoy the outdoor terrace with its natural lighting. I find that people-watching is especially good when you’ve got the cafe’s truffle fries in front of you.
The menu also includes vegetarian and gluten-free options, ensuring there are choices for various dietary preferences.

If you want a fancy afternoon tea, check out The Marmalade Pantry. It’s famous for its signature cupcakes and pastries, which are freshly baked in-house (and are hard not to scarf down!).
It’s quite affordable, too. I paid around S$78 per set for the Afternoon Tea and enjoyed the modern bistro atmosphere of the place.
I also like how it keeps things fresh and exciting by introducing seasonal menu items. It draws inspiration from international cuisines and incorporates local and regional influences into its menu.
Wild Honey

“Wild Honey” reflects the concept of exploring and indulging in the various flavours and cuisines from around the world, much like the natural and diverse characteristics of wild honey. It’s also a brunch place that offers the convenience of all-day dining.
Its all-day breakfasts are inspired by international cuisines, such as the full English brekky, shakshouka dish, and California meal. And they’re pretty reasonably priced at around S$25 for meat dishes, S$8 for sides, and S$29 for fish dishes.
It’s cosy, homey, and serves breakfast food. Honestly, what’s not to like?
Din Tai Fung

I’ve been wanting to try the xiao long bao at Din Tai Fung and finally got the chance to do so for this post. The delicate dumplings are filled with flavourful broth and a variety of fillings (I got the crab and wasn’t disappointed).
Other stuff on the menu that I found irresistible included the shrimp and pork shao mai (steamed dumplings), fried pork chop, and spicy chicken wings.
As for its prices? Not bad at all. Around S6.30 for appetisers, and S$9.90 for steamed dumplings and rice menu items.

Paragon enjoys a prime location along Orchard Road, making it easily accessible and a convenient choice for both locals and tourists. It’s hard to miss with its spaciousness and open design that allows natural light to flow into the interior space.
It also focuses on luxury and high-end brands like Gucci, Versace, Dior, Givenchy, and Tiffany & Co. It’s become a fave of the atas shoppers for this reason.
I can’t quite afford those brands, but I do enjoy Paragon’s architectural combination of straight edges and curved surfaces, creating an interesting visual contrast.
