It’s airconditioned, has many great places to eat or get coffee, is surrounded by lush vegetation and gorgeous scenery, and has free Wi-Fi. Plus, you won’t run out of electrical outlets to use at any hour.

And if you’re wondering how to get some shut-eye while at the airport, just ask any of the students or waiting passengers in the area. Most of them have managed to have better sleep there than in any other place (thank you, snooze lounges)!

Best Quiet Places to Study in Singapore

Best Quiet Places to Study in Singapore

More often than not, the best places to study in Singapore are those where you can turn up the quiet. Thankfully, some places do precisely that so you can concentrate on acing your exams.

13. Sengkang Community Centre

Sengkang Community Centre

Location: 2 Sengkang Square, #01-01 Sengkang Community Hub S545025

Operating hours: Will depend on location and availability

How to get there: Will depend on the community centre’s location

Studying suggestion: The study corners are on a first-come, first-served basis, so get in touch with the community centre first.

Practically every neighbourhood in Singapore has a community centre that’s ideal for studying because they’re quiet and undisturbed. One great example is Sengkang Community Centre.

A simple registration is all it takes to be granted access to the peace and silence of one of its centre’s study rooms. And yes, there’s free Wi-Fi and places to plug in your electronic devices, too.

In some locations, the study rooms also offer free snacks and beverages to registered students. Now, how’s that as a great incentive to be studious?

14. Huggs Collective

Huggs Collective
Huggs FB page

Operating hours: Will depend on the outlet

How to get there: Will depend on the branch location

Membership is free, too. So sign up for one now and make the most out of being a regular at Huggs Collective.

Even those outlets that don’t have a lounge might have small private nooks that are ideal for conducting online meetings or lectures. But while most branches are pretty quiet, you might want to bring your noise-cancelling headphones just in case.

Library@Esplanade
National Library Board FB page

Location: 8 Raffles Avenue #03-01 Singapore 039802

Operating hours: Daily, 11 AM – 7 PM

How to get there: Take the Circle or East West Line, or the 111, 131, 133, 162M, 70M, or 961M Bus

Studying suggestion: Refer to the National Library Board website to see if the place is crowded before you go.

They say libraries increase a student’s productivity and focus. When we stepped foot inside the Library@Esplanade, we were inclined to agree right away.

For starters, it doesn’t get as crowded as others libraries do—and that sits well with us! Maybe because it’s in a location that’s not too near campuses so fewer students know about it?

And it’s airconditioned, so we won’t have to sweat it out while we wrestle with schoolwork. The comfy seating and non-lagging free Internet access also puts this place at the top of our fave places to study in Singapore.
