Opened in 2023, Bird Paradise is an avian haven divided into eight unique themed aviaries. My favourites are the lush Heart of Africa and the tropical Crimson Wetlands, where I can wander through free-flight zones filled with hundreds of colourful bird species.

You can easily turn it into a whole day of nature-filled fun. Grab a bite at one of the nearby cafes, check out the gift shops, or stroll along the Mandai Wildlife West Park connector before heading to the Singapore Zoo or Night Safari.

Pro-tip: The best time to visit is early in the morning when the birds are most active.

When my inner kid wants to come out, I head over to The Museum of Ice Cream. It’s like stepping into a candy-coloured dreamland, filled with sprinkle pools, a bouncy ice cream playground, and endless photo ops.

Each room has its sweet surprises like a unicorn-themed zone and even a mini Singapore hawker stall serving up local-inspired ice cream flavours.

Plus, there’s a cute café and gift shop at the end of the tour, so you can grab a cone and a souvenir to take home after all that sugary fun.

Pro-tip: Book your tickets for weekday afternoons to avoid the weekend crowds, and wear bright-coloured outfits for those Insta-worthy photos against vibrant backdrops.
