Whenever I’m at a buffet-catered event in Singapore, I can sense the behind-the-scenes stress. It seems like organisers are constantly worrying about things like, “Is the food cold? Do the guests like the choices? Do the napkins match the motif?”

Luckily, there are plenty of excellent buffet catering services in Singapore that simplify your event planning. With this guide, find the ideal buffet caterer for your next event so you can just show up ready to eat and celebrate!

Neo Garden has been around since the early 90s and is a catering service my family has tried on several occasions. We’ve used the company for mini-buffets, daily meals (tingkat), thematic set-ups, and live stations.

Its team can confidently provide smooth catering service within just three hours of order confirmation, catering for up to 500 guests! It’s a reliable go-to if you find yourself in a bind and need to arrange an event or order additional food at the last minute.

Pro-tip: The standard buffet catering setup does not include service staff. You can hire service staff at S$100 per person for four hours with a regular buffet order.

One of the best things about Stamford is that it’s a one-stop catering solution and Halal-certified. Its extensive menu includes a variety of buffet packages, party sets, mini sets, high tea, cocktails, live stations, and even wedding packages.

Plus, its pricing is quite affordable (from S$16.00+ per pax). I learned that the company manages to keep costs low because it sources ingredients from the best-authorised suppliers at wholesale prices.

Pro-tip: The mini buffet already comes with tablecloths, utensils, and self-heating elements to keep the food warm when served.

Chilli Manis specialises in Peranakan buffet catering and features classic dishes like blue butterfly pea rice and udang masak nenas (pineapple prawns). These yummy, heartwarming dishes are packed with fragrant herbs, spices, and aromas.

What I really love is the Peranakan-style table setup. It looks unique and upscale, adding a special touch to any event. Prices start from S$21+ per person, making it perfect for parties and large gatherings.

Pro-tip: Dish tags are only available upon request.

For your next event, I recommend the classic signature buffet at S$13++ per person (minimum 30 pax) for 10 dishes. You can customise your proteins, seafood, vegetables, and carbs.

My favourite picks are the salted egg chicken, fragrance honey prawn, and mango fish.

Pro-tip: Delivery is S$65.40 including GST or S$38.15 for mini buffets. There’s free delivery for orders over S$1,000 (S$1090 including GST).

Yea! Mama Experiential Catering has been in the business for over 25 years here in Singapore. Its buffet menu is diverse, offering everything from local delicacies to Asian favourites and international delights.

What’s great is that it’s committed to high food quality standards, with all the right certifications, including Halal, ISO 22000, and BizSafe.

Last Christmas, we tried its Festive Fiesta Party Set for less than S$34 per pax (minimum 10 pax) and were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions.

Guests loved the baked salmon fillet with miso cream, spicy peri-peri tiger prawns, and the turkey ham platter.

Pro-tip: The company rents tables and stools, with a standard delivery surcharge of S$120.

If you’re hosting an event in Singapore with diverse attendees, I recommend going to Deli Hub Catering. It’s Halal-certified and follows Islamic dietary guidelines, making it perfect for various dietary requirements.

Deli Hub also has plenty of vegetarian options in its regular menu, plus a dedicated vegetarian package. Some of my favourites are the Thai-style prawns, aloo cauliflower, and the baked fish with a delectable cream sauce.

Pro-tip: Orders must be placed three working days (72 hours) in advance.

Mei Hao 99 Catering

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM–5 PM

I first came across Mei Hao 99 Catering during the circuit breaker period through its flyers. The company offers dinner delivery from Monday to Friday in select areas, which was a lifesaver.

Established in 1999, it’s built a solid reputation for its international buffet catering. Mei Hao 99’s menu is reasonably priced and features a great mix of Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, and Western dishes.

What I like about Mei Hao is that its food isn’t greasy at all. The presentation is simple, but the value is fantastic which can rival some of the bigger caterers out there.

Pro-tip: A 7% GST will be added to the total bill.

Elsie’s Kitchen

I’ve heard from so many people about how they got Elsie’s Kitchen for their Chinese New Year buffets, all for the low price of less than S$16 per person.

I like that you can mix and match items or choose from the pre-selected set menus to create a unique spread.

I attended one and was impressed with the majestic 10-head abalone yu sheng (raw fish) with mango-papaya salad in spicy lemongrass dressing. Whole abalones are placed around the perimeter, so no one is left empty-handed.

Pro-tip: The company advises guests to consume the food within two hours of its arrival, in compliance with SFA guidelines.

Katong Catering

From its humble beginnings as a tingkat delivery service, Katong Catering has grown into one of Singapore’s well-known caterers. It offers a variety of services including Asian buffets, high tea buffets, barbecue buffets, and executive lunch meals.

I am all over its unique mini buffets, especially the All Day Breakfast Classic (S$168 for 10 pax) featuring scrambled eggs and mini pancakes with maple syrup.

On the other hand, my family’s favourite is the Nonya Nonya (S$168 for 10 pax) with dry laksa goreng, mackerel otah, satay, and more.

Pro-tip: Katong Catering is open to unique catering customisations such as an all-vegetarian menu.

Mum’s Kitchen Catering

Back in 1996, Mum’s Kitchen was just a small restaurant. Since then, it’s expanded with a full outdoor catering service equipped with two central kitchens.

What impresses me about this catering company is how it can handle anything from small parties of a couple dozen guests to large corporate and religious events with thousands of attendees.

I attended a huge seminar with Mum’s Kitchen catering the event and was blown away by the seminar bento boxes. The mini-shelled curry puffs and black pepper chicken pies were to die for nibbles!

Pro-tip: The whole-day seminar bento package is S$22 per pax, min 30 pax and covers morning and afternoon tea breaks with snacks.

How’s Catering, founded in 1991, is a Halal-certified service offering a wide range of affordable buffet options. It’s pretty affordable too, with international buffet menus starting from S$18 per pax.

I was really impressed by its self-heating mini buffets, which solve the problem of reheating Christmas platters delivered too early or cold.

I thought it was intimidating but it’s pretty easy to use. The self-heating buffet is double stacked with the food container on top, and heating agent packs with water packs below.

Pro-tip: If you’re having a cocktail party, go for the cocktail reception menu featuring beautifully plated bites like Norwegian salmon.

If you’re looking for more than just a typical caterer, I highly recommend CaterCo. It’s a multifaceted events company offering concierge-like service with Halal-certified food.

One of its standout offerings is the Atlantis buffet (S$20 per guest, minimum 40 guests), featuring delicious items like honey-glazed chicken and mala (spicy) potato and vegetables.

Pro-tip: CaterCo is also a corporate events specialist offering a wide range of menus, including tea time selections and seminar packages.
