15 Best Wagyu Beef Dishes in Singapore—So Juicy I Constantly Dream about Them!
At the start of my foodie journey, I didn’t understand the appeal of Wagyu steak. The normal steak cuts were already great, why was there a need for a different one? Wagyu was overrated and overpriced, that was my stance.
That was until I tried one for the first time, and I instantly understood. The rich flavor thanks to the marbling on the meat and its buttery tenderness—oh, I could devour several ounces of it! My health and wallet be damned!
After trying out as many restaurants that serve Wagyu beef, I compiled this list of my favorites.

I love a good donburi (Japanese rice bowl), but you know what makes it better? If the donburi has pieces of Wagyu beef! That’s why I love coming to Fat Cow. This Japanese restaurant serves exactly that!
I usually come here for lunch, and my go-to order is the charcoal-grilled Wagyu yakiniku don. The Wagyu beef has a lovely barbeque flavor, and it’s also topped with a steamed egg, chives, and mushrooms, which makes the whole dish even heartier.
Pro Tip:
- If you can afford to splurge, try the restaurant’s Wagyu omakase. It’s a multi-course experience where you let the chef decide what to serve you. It’s exciting, and every steak served is delicious.

Butcher’s Block is unmatched when it comes to vibes. The interior has a very rustic countryside feel, and that feeling is heightened even more by the fact that the chefs use wood fire to cook the steaks.
The menu is also full of amazing dishes. Of course, the highlight for me is the dry-aged porterhouse, which is absolutely massive, so I usually order it when I’m in a group.
The Wagyu beef tartare is also amazing. It’s served with a smoked Japanese egg yolk, so the dish is even smokier and richer.

Another Japanese barbeque spot that I highly recommend is Gyu-Kaku, which is located inside CHIJMES. Here, you can treat yourself to an eat-all-you-can buffet with Wagyu beef. Sounds like heaven to me!
Of course, Wagyu beef is always what I order here. But sometimes I spice things up by ordering other meals, such as the katsu don and deep-fried pork cutlet. I also like getting spicy ramen just to get rid of all the greasiness from the meat I’m eating.

I love getting the 60-day-dry-aged ribeye steak because the flavors really permeate the thick meat. The prime filet mignon is another great option because it’s so soft and tender that it just dissolves in your mouth.
Order a few sides to make your meal much more satisfying. I love pairing my steak with lobster mac and cheese, but if you prefer something healthier, order the sauteed asparagus or broccoli instead.
