15 Best Wagyu Beef Dishes in Singapore—So Juicy I Constantly Dream about Them!

At the start of my foodie journey, I didn’t understand the appeal of Wagyu steak. The normal steak cuts were already great, why was there a need for a different one? Wagyu was overrated and overpriced, that was my stance.

That was until I tried one for the first time, and I instantly understood. The rich flavor thanks to the marbling on the meat and its buttery tenderness—oh, I could devour several ounces of it! My health and wallet be damned!

After trying out as many restaurants that serve Wagyu beef, I compiled this list of my favorites.

Indulge yourself in the very best of traditional Tuscan cuisine at Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse! To make things better, this Italian restaurant features candlelight dining, so it’s perfect for intimate dinner dates.

I usually order the grass-fed Wagyu, which weighs 300 grams—enough to share with another person. For my sauce, I like the black truffle butter because it makes the steak even more indulgent. I also like that it has strong notes of earthy flavors.

Pro Tip:

  • This restaurant has a loft that can serve as a venue for your event. It’s decked in luxurious decor, and it can hold up to 30 guests.

I love a good donburi (Japanese rice bowl), but you know what makes it better? If the donburi has pieces of Wagyu beef! That’s why I love coming to Fat Cow. This Japanese restaurant serves exactly that!

I usually come here for lunch, and my go-to order is the charcoal-grilled Wagyu yakiniku don. The Wagyu beef has a lovely barbeque flavor, and it’s also topped with a steamed egg, chives, and mushrooms, which makes the whole dish even heartier.

Pro Tip:

  • If you can afford to splurge, try the restaurant’s Wagyu omakase. It’s a multi-course experience where you let the chef decide what to serve you. It’s exciting, and every steak served is delicious.

Wooloomooloo is a popular steakhouse in Hong Kong, and fortunately, it has now branched out to Singapore. At this sleek and fancy restaurant, you can enjoy premium steaks with fine wine from their extensive collection.

I recommend coming here for brunch. Get the exquisite Mayura Wagyu rib, which has an impressive marble score of 8–9, so it’s super tender and buttery. I usually pair this dish with a glass of champagne or red wine just to elevate my dining experience.

Pro Tip:

  • This restaurant has a semi-private room and lounge that you can book for events. For more information, you should call the restaurant.

Butcher’s Block is unmatched when it comes to vibes. The interior has a very rustic countryside feel, and that feeling is heightened even more by the fact that the chefs use wood fire to cook the steaks.

The menu is also full of amazing dishes. Of course, the highlight for me is the dry-aged porterhouse, which is absolutely massive, so I usually order it when I’m in a group.

The Wagyu beef tartare is also amazing. It’s served with a smoked Japanese egg yolk, so the dish is even smokier and richer.

Pro Tip:

  • This restaurant has several exciting experiences that you might want to try. These include the Dom Pérignon Experience and an exclusive tasting menu for the summer.

If you’re looking for a great Japanese barbeque spot in Singapore, then you can’t go wrong with Tankaichi. This restaurant has won several awards, and they also use Wagyu beef, so you can expect to have a premium grilling experience.

The best part is the Wagyu beef is unlimited! So you can order as many rounds as you want, and you can experiment when it comes to food pairings. For me, I like pairing my grilled Wagyu with kimchi (for a kick of heat) and even fresh sashimi!

Pro Tip:

  • Sometimes this restaurant holds special promotions. The one that’s current right now is discounted donburi options.

Another Japanese barbeque spot that I highly recommend is Gyu-Kaku, which is located inside CHIJMES. Here, you can treat yourself to an eat-all-you-can buffet with Wagyu beef. Sounds like heaven to me!

Of course, Wagyu beef is always what I order here. But sometimes I spice things up by ordering other meals, such as the katsu don and deep-fried pork cutlet. I also like getting spicy ramen just to get rid of all the greasiness from the meat I’m eating.

Pro Tip:

  • If you’re on a budget, this restaurant offers donburi dishes at affordable prices.

If you’re shopping inside Ngee Ann City, one of the most well-known shopping malls on Orchard Road, you should check out Angus Steak House. In this restaurant, you can get Japanese or Australian Wagyu.

I personally love getting the Kagoshima Wagyu tenderloin steak because it’s thick, making it perfect for sharing. For carbs, I like to get the sea urchin and scallop spaghetti. The subtle sweetness pairs well with the rich taste of the steak.

The best way to describe Barossa Steak and Grill’s vibe is “Outback meets chic.” This Australian restaurant boasts a rustic ambiance that inspires you to sit back and relax with great food—preferably with friends and family.

I recommend getting the Sanchoku Wagyu Beef Burger, which is juicy and savory. It also comes with manchego cheese and balsamic onion marmalade, so you can taste a combination of sharp zestiness and sweetness with every bite.

Located inside Shangri-La Singapore, Origin Grill is a fancy steakhouse with a laid-back atmosphere.

You have many Wagyu options. I personally like the Wagyu striploin, but when I’m eating with my friends, I opt for the larger cuts, like the ribeye from Queensland, Australia.

To make my meal even more filling, I order several sides to pair with my steak. Usually, my choice is fried rice (because nothing beats rice for me), but sometimes I crave the creamy mashed potato and grilled asparagus (for some greens).

Pro Tips:

  • Treat yourself to an executive set lunch, which is a multi-course dining experience.
  • This restaurant has an extensive collection of wines. I recommend ordering at least a glass (or bottle) to make your meal even more luxurious.

It’s hard not to be in awe of Opus Bar and Grill. The interior is bright and gorgeous, and it also smells so good and aromatic because the prime cuts are cooked over an open flame grill using charcoal and jarrah wood.

I always get the roasted Australian prime ribs because I love the smokey flavor they have. I also recommend the beef brisket, which falls off the bone easily and still maintains its juiciness.

Pro Tip:

  • This restaurant has dinner specials from Sundays to Thursdays (e.g. discounted prices on oysters, unlimited steaks, and free sides). Take advantage of them when you can!

What I love about Gyu San is that it offers so many of my favorite Japanese dishes.

There’s the classic Wagyu steak with fries, which is my go-to order because it’s delicious and hearty. But I also really like the sandwich, especially when I’m in a hurry because it’s served pretty fast and is also quite filling.

If you’re dining with a group, get the Wagyu meat platter. It comes with all the best cuts, such as prime rib, short rib, rib finger, and many more. It’s so worth it!

My favorite thing to order from this restaurant is the wood-fired-grilled ribeye, which is served with tomato onion salsa. The meat is tender (as you would expect) and slightly sweet as well. Meanwhile, the salsa adds a refreshing tanginess to the dish.

Of course, the prime rib is the bestseller, and it’s also my recommendation. Every piece melts like butter on my tongue, and I love dousing it with the creamy mushroom sauce. This dish is also served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, making it a filling meal.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is another world-famous steakhouse in the world, so if you’re in the mood for a fancy meal, this is the place to check out.

I love getting the 60-day-dry-aged ribeye steak because the flavors really permeate the thick meat. The prime filet mignon is another great option because it’s so soft and tender that it just dissolves in your mouth.

Order a few sides to make your meal much more satisfying. I love pairing my steak with lobster mac and cheese, but if you prefer something healthier, order the sauteed asparagus or broccoli instead.

Pro Tip:

  • This restaurant also offers afternoon tea. It’s every day, from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Try it when you can!
