For the Ultimate View: Top 15 Observation Decks in Singapore

Singapore has no shortage of beautiful sceneries, and one of the best ways to view them is from a high vantage point. Luckily, there are many observation decks throughout the island, so you can easily enjoy the cityscape whenever you want.

To make things better, each observation deck is unique in its own way. There’s one on top of an iconic hotel, another one on top of a hill, and another that takes you on for a relaxing, fun ride—the options are endless!

This article lists all the best observation decks in Singapore for your viewing pleasure. Check them out and enjoy!

The Best Observation Decks in Singapore

Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck

Price:

  • Non-Resident—S$32 (adult), S$28 (child ages 2–12 years old, senior citizens above 65 years old, person with a disability), S$98 (family package—two adults and two children)
  • Resident—S$23.60 (adult), S$20.80 (child, senior citizen, person with a disability)

If you were to ask Singaporeans and permanent residents for observation deck recommendations, the Marina Bay Sands SkyPark Observation Deck is going to be one of the first things they’ll say.

Located on the 56th floor of the iconic Marina Bay Sands, this deck boasts a stunning view of the cityscape. My favorite things to spot whenever I’m here are the Supertree Grove in Gardens by the Bay and the durian-shaped domes of the Esplanade.

The deck is also a great spot for viewing Spectra, which is a nightly show featuring extravagant choreography of water fountains, lasers, colorful visual projections, and a majestic soundtrack.

Singapore Flyer

Address: 30 Raffles Ave., Singapore 039803
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—10 am to 10 pm
Price:

  • Singapore Flyer Sky Dining—S$520 (three rotations), S$355.22 (two rotations)
  • Singapore Flyer + Time Capsule—S$40 (adult), S$25 (child ages 3–12 years old, Singaporean/permanent resident senior citizen ages 60 and above)

Website

The Singapore Flyer is technically a Ferris wheel, but considering its massive size and height (it stands at 165 meters), its capsules also work as an observation deck.

The great thing about the Singapore Flyer is that you’ll get a view of the cityscape from various angles. And if you book Singapore Flyer Sky Dining, you’ll also be able to enjoy a fancy multi-course meal while cherishing the view around you.

Supertree Observatory

Address: 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 9 pm
Contact Number: +6564206848
Price:

  • Non-Resident—S$14 (adult), S$10 (child ages 3–12 years old)
  • Resident—S$10 (adult), S$6 (child, senior citizen ages 60 years old and above)

The Supertree Grove is the main attraction of Gardens by the Bay, and the best way to view it is by heading to the Supertree Observatory.

This observatory is located at the tallest Supertree’s canopy, so the view is unrivaled. Your ticket also comes with refreshments and an immersive digital learning experience, so you won’t get bored when you come here.

In my opinion, nighttime is the best time to visit the Supertree Observatory. The Grove and the skyscrapers beyond the Gardens are all lit up, so the scenery is quite breathtaking.

Jelutong Tower

Address: MacRitchie Reservoir, Singapore
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours

Located in the heart of MacRitchie Reservoir Park, the Jelutong Tower is the best place to go if you just want to enjoy the view of the forest. To make things better, its location is also pretty remote, so you’ll get a dose of peace and quiet here as well.

If you’re a big fan of birds, I recommend you bring a pair of binoculars because when you reach the top of the tower, there are many birds for you to spot. If you’d like to see more of the birds and treetops, be sure to head to the TreeTop Walk, which is nearby.

Bukit Timah Hill Summit

Address: Hindhede Dr, Singapore 589318
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—7 am to 7 pm
Contact Number: +6518004717300

At 164 meters, Bukit Timah Hill is the highest natural peak in Singapore, so climbing to the summit has been on the to-do list of many hikers. I recommend you try this too—at the very top, you’ll be treated to a gorgeous view of nature.

And while you’re still here, you might check out the other attractions in Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (where the hill is located). The Hindhede Quarry also has a deck where you can watch aquatic animals swimming in the water and birds flying above you.

Observation Tower at Chestnut Nature Park

Address: Chestnut Ave, Singapore 679514
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—7 am to 7 pm
Contact Number: +6518004717300

While we’re on the subject of public parks, another one with an observation tower is Chestnut Nature Park

This park has a total land area of 81 hectares, making it one of the largest nature parks in Singapore. Additionally, it’s home to multiple native tree species and other interesting forms of wildlife, thanks to NPark’s biodiversity conservation efforts.

Because of this, this park is popular among hikers and nature lovers. No matter which hiking trail you follow, be sure to make a stop at the observation tower and enjoy the view from the very top.

Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower

Address: 50 Tanjong Rhu Pl, Singapore 436621
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours

When you’re strolling on the Tanjong Rhu Promenade, it’s hard to overlook the lookout tower located at the very end.

In my head, I’ve always looked at the Tanjong Rhu Lookout Tower as a romantic spot. Its spiral staircase reminds me of the ones I see in fairy tales, and at night, the view of the lights on the water is just magical.

I’d also recommend coming here during the late afternoon to watch the sunset. It’s so breathtaking to see the vibrant sky and all the colors reflecting on the waters of the Kallang Basin.

Raptor Tower

Address: 10 Neo Tiew Lane 2, Singapore 718813

Raptor Tower is one of those places that make me forget that I’m living in the bustling nation of Singapore. This observation deck is located in the Kranji Marshes, so all I can see when I’m at the very top is rustic nature everywhere.

From the tower, you’ll be able to spot the various natural habitats of the Kranji Marshes, which include a freshwater marsh, woodland, and grass habitats. You might also be lucky to see white-bellied sea eagles perching on the tall trees.

Once you’re done sightseeing, I recommend taking a walk along Neo Tiew Woods to see more wildlife like woodpeckers and monitor lizards!

Seletar Rocket Tower

Address: Mandai Rd Track 7, Singapore
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours

If you’re visiting Upper Seletar Reservoir Park, be sure to stop by the Seletar Rocket Tower.

This lookout tower is really shaped like a rocket (in honor of the first men who landed on the moon in 1969, which is also the same year the tower was constructed). Because of this, it’s a popular attraction among people who love astronomy.

It’s also a perfect place for people who just want to chill and take in the scenery for a while. The topmost floor boasts a 360º view of the reservoir waters as well as the nearby attractions like the Singapore Zoo.

ION Sky

Address: 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore 238801
Operating Hours

  • Tuesday to Thursday—4 to 8 pm
  • Friday and Saturday—2 to 9 pm
  • Closed on Sunday and Monday

Contact Number: +6562388228

Everyone knows that ION Orchard is one of the most prominent shopping malls on Orchard Road, but did you know that it’s more than a shopper’s paradise?

If you spend more than S$50 shopping in the mall, you’ll actually have free access to ION Sky, an observation deck on the 56th floor of the mall.

Since this observation deck is located so high up, you’ll get a bird’s-eye view of Singapore’s Central Area. The deck also has luxurious, modern features, such as floor-to-ceiling windows and a fancy restaurant.

Mount Faber Peak

Address: 109 Mount Faber Rd, Singapore 099203
Operating Hours

  • Sunday to Thursday—8:45 am to 9:30 pm
  • Friday and Saturday—8:45 am to 2 am

Contact Number: +6563779688

Mount Faber Peak is mostly known for being one of the main stations for the Singapore Cable Car, but it’s also an ideal destination for people who love watching beautiful sceneries.

Located 100 meters above sea level, Mount Faber Peak provides you with scenic views of the harbor and the Singapore skyline. The place is also surrounded by lush greenery, so you can also enjoy the fresh air.

While you’re here, don’t miss out on the shops and attractions within Mount Faber Park. In particular, you might like Poland’s Bells of Happiness—a gift from Poland to celebrate good relations with Singapore, and it’s also believed to bring good luck to newlyweds.

Southernmost Point of Continental Asia

Address: Palawan Island, Sentosa, Singapore
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 7 pm

The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia has to be one of the most Instagram-worthy spots in Singapore

Tucked away on the beautiful island of Sentosa, this place looks like a tropical paradise. The sand is strikingly white, the water is crystal blue, and there are two towers at the end you can only reach via a suspension bridge.

Once you reach the two lookout towers, a breathtaking view greets you. It’s also pretty peaceful out here, so feel free to just bask in the sunlight and fresh air.

SkyHelix Sentosa

Address: 41 Imbiah Rd, Sentosa, Singapore 099707
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—10 am to 9:30 pm
Price:

  • Adult—S$20
  • Child (4–12 years old)—S$17

Contact Number: +6563610088

SkyHelix Sentosa is an interesting attraction simply because it’s both an observation deck and a thrilling ride (like the one you might find in an amusement park).

Basically, SkyHelix is an open-air scenic ride that slowly takes you to the top. Once you reach the top, you’ll be able to see a panoramic view—all the way from Sentosa to the Keppel Bay area and the Southern Islands

Additionally, your ticket includes a non-alcoholic drink, so you can really sit back and relax during the whole ride.

Henderson Waves

Address: Henderson Road, Singapore

Henderson Waves is one of the most interesting bridges in Singapore. For one thing, it’s the highest pedestrian bridge, so the view here is unparalleled, and for another, its architecture is striking (the curved, wooden ribs are hard to miss).

The bridge becomes even more beautiful at night since the “ribs” are illuminated. Additionally, it connects the Southern Ridges and Mount Faber, making it an ideal route for hiking, jogging, or cycling.

Fort Siloso Skywalk

Address: Siloso Rd, Singapore 099981
Operating Hours: Monday to Sunday—9 am to 6 pm
Contact Number: +6567368672

Another perfect example of a bridge that also doubles as an observation deck is the Fort Siloso Skywalk.

Located in the historical landmark of Fort Siloso, this skywalk is about 11 stories high and 181 meters long. Because of this, you can enjoy a scenic treetop walk in your spare time—and maybe a fun photoshoot if you want.

Since you’re already in Fort Siloso, I suggest you get a guided tour when you can. That way, you’ll learn more about the history of the area and appreciate the role it played during World War II.
