Located in the northern part of Sembawang, Canberra Plaza is a mall—officially known as a New Generation Neighborhood Center (NGNC)—constructed by the Housing and Development Board (HDB). 

Canberra Plaza is actually one of the newest Neighborhood Centers (NCs) built by HDB. Construction began in 2015, more than ten years after the completion of Pioneer Mall and Punggol Plaza, and it finally opened to the public in December 2020.

The mall is surrounded by several HDB projects as well as private condominiums and landed properties. Because of this, Canberra Plaza is a popular destination among residents in the area, especially families.

The best way to get to Canberra Plaza is by MRT. This is because the plaza is directly connected to Canberra MRT station by a footbridge, so traveling to and fro is incredibly convenient. 

If you prefer to travel on a bus, you can ride either bus 117 or 169 because these two have routes that pass near the mall. As for the bus stations that you can find near Canberra Plaza, three of the closest ones are the following:

  • Canberra Link (58269) — opposite Visionaire
  • Canberra Link (58261) — right on Visionaire
  • Canberra Walk (58609) — opposite Block 108a

If you wish to drive your own car to Canberra Plaza, there’s a car park available on the premises. The parking rates follow the standard prices that you can find in several other HDB car parks.
