When it comes to attractions, I recommend the National Museum, which is the largest in Sri Lanka and features the items once owned by the former royal family. You should also visit

One popular landmark here is the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, which is so opulent that you can see it from afar (it’s hard to ignore its golden dome). The Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque is just as beautiful, with colorful roofs and floors.
This city is also blessed in terms of nature. So, if you’re ever visiting this place, you should go on a mangrove tour; doing so brings you close to Bandar Seri Begawan’s preserved mangroves and a few wild animals like the endangered proboscis monkeys.
