Where is Woodlands?

Woodlands is located in the northern part of Singapore, close to the Johor-Singapore Causeway. It’s part of the North Region, making it a key residential and commercial hub up north.

Woodlands falls under District 25. This area is well-loved for its green spaces, family-friendly vibe, and the convenience of having everything you need within reach.

What is the main street in Woodlands?

Woodlands Avenue 3 is the main thoroughfare. It connects many key spots in the area, including Causeway Point, Woodlands MRT Station, and the Woodlands Civic Centre. It’s the vibrant artery that keeps the community connected.

How to Get to Woodlands

Closest bus stops: Several bus services serve the Woodlands area, including 960, 961, 962, 963, 966, and 969. These buses stop at key points like Woodlands Interchange, Causeway Point, and the surrounding residential areas.

Closest MRT station: Take the North-South Line (Red Line) to Woodlands MRT Station (NS9/TE2). This station is centrally located and connects you to various parts of Woodlands.

Once you arrive at Woodlands MRT or the bus interchange, you can easily navigate the area using the local bus services or simply explore on foot.

Yes, good cheap eats exist in posh Woodlands! This place buzzes especially on Friday nights with nearly 85% of tables occupied. 

Service is fast, and food arrives within 15 minutes, even when it’s busy. The butter chicken, just S$7, is incredibly creamy and buttery, with thick chunks of chicken in a rich curry.

There’s a drool-worthy picture menu in case you don’t know what to order at first.

You can get your seafood fix at this family-friendly restaurant in Woodlands Waterfront Park. Known for its delicious barbecue seafood, satay, local favourites, and Western dishes at reasonable prices, Rasa Istemawa is a scenic spot for a hearty meal.

Must-tries here are the chilli crab, black pepper crab, and barbecued stingray. You can munch happily away while admiring the waterfront views through the restaurant’s wide glass windows.

Nasi SG Power is a famous stall offering nasi sambal goreng (rice with spicy chilli paste), nasi lemak (rice dish with accompaniments), lontong (rice cakes in curry), and mee Siam (spicy rice vermicelli). FYI: the “SG” stands for sambal goreng, not Singapore!

Office-goers in the area like getting their lunches here, as it really provides value for money. Takeaway bottles of green milk tea round off the meals nicely.

Citrus By the Pool

Citrus By The Pool is a Halal-certified café at Woodlands Swimming Complex with an extensive menu, including pasta, Western, waffles, and Thai cuisine. It’s perfect for those up until late at night as it’s open until 5 AM.

One of the must-tries here is the stir fry garlic chicken which is perfect for sharing. It features succulent chicken with bold garlic flavours, delicious on its own or with accompanying jasmine rice.
