Best Women’s Boxing in Singapore: Top 5 Female-Friendly Gyms

Safe, inclusive environment - We looked for spaces where beginners feel welcome, instructors don’t bark, and egos stay outside the ring.

Qualified and attentive coaches - We hunted for trainers who can teach proper technique, correct form safely, and scale drills to our fitness level (and not just throw us into sparring).

Women-friendly schedules and classes - We want ladies-only sessions, small class sizes, and a timetable that works for after-work warriors and weekend mornings.

Clean facilities and fair pricing - We don’t want gloves that smell like last year’s sweat. We looked for showers we actually want to use and package options that won’t KO our wallet.

I’ve bounced in and out of Muay Thai gyms across the island, and honestly, half the time, I felt like I’d accidentally crashed someone else’s fight camp. It’s great vibes for some, but not for a girl just trying to learn self-defence without being stared down.

So I went hunting for something better, with proper coaching, zero macho chest-thumping, and bathrooms that don’t make me reconsider my life choices. I wanted a space where I could learn fast hands, build confidence, and still feel like myself.

And, good news, those gyms actually exist! Here are the best women’s boxing gyms in Singapore that make me and my friends feel strong, safe, and welcomed from round one.

How much are women’s boxing classes in Singapore?

Most studios and boxing gyms charge S$30–S$45 per drop-in class if you want to try just one session or train casually. Monthly training or unlimited packages typically run around S$200 to over S$300 per month, depending on the gym and plan you choose.

Some places also offer multi-session packs (such as 5 to 10 classes) or flexible walk-in passes at under S$50, which can be good if you’re trying out classes before committing.

After a week of back-to-back meetings, NTG Fight SG has become my favourite way to punch the stress out of my system. I step in from the CBD chaos, wrap up, and instantly feel like a different person.

The gym leans more towards technical boxing than random flailing, which I like, because I actually want to learn, not just sweat. Classes are a mix of ladies-only sessions and small mixed groups, so there’s no awkward sparring with hulking strangers.

The vibe is friendly and gritty-but-clean, like a proper fight gym that still remembers hygiene still exists. The coaches watch my form closely, correct me without condescension, and cheer me on like I really belong there (big boost for a shaky beginner!).

But what I love most is how they scale drills for real people with day jobs. Whether I walk in tired, annoyed, or overcaffeinated, I still come out knowing one more combo, feeling stronger, and less likely to bite someone during a meeting.

And if you’re chasing a full spa experience with eucalyptus towels, this isn’t that (it’s more punch first, pamper later).

Pros

  • Offers free trial classes
  • Expert coaching and technique focus
  • Inclusive for all levels
  • Clean, well-equipped facility

Cons

  • Classes can feel intense for pure cardio seekers

The trainers are very experienced

A clean, well-equipped gym with a motivating vibe. The trainers are very experienced, friendly and really push you to do your best. Highly recommend!

I first joined Spear Boxing Academy because I wanted community first, cardio second, and bruises never. From the first class, I felt like I’d landed in a space where learning mattered more than looking tough.

It’s best for beginners who want proper technique with a good workout, rather than brawl-heavy sparring. Tucked in the Kallang area, it’s central enough for me to drop in before heading home.

The classes swing between ladies-only and supportive mixed groups, and nobody pressures me to go harder than I’m ready for. The vibe is warm and authentic, the kind where I actually know the names of the people I train with.

What really sold me was the coaching. They gave clear instructions, real boxing drills, and ego-free form correction. They check in on everyone and celebrate improvements. Through them, I finally understood why jab-cross feels good when thrown right.

However, you won’t get nightclub lighting or Instagram-perfect gloss if that’s your thing. And if you’re craving intense sparring or fight-camp vibes, this gym might feel too gentle (though for many women, that’s exactly the point).

Pros

  • Offers an affordable trial class (less than S$18)
  • Women-only, female coach-led boxing sessions
  • Emphasis on proper technique and skill development
  • Flexible training options

Cons

  • Trial class doesn’t include sparring or strength conditioning
  • Limited shower/locker amenities
  • Not ideal for those seeking high-intensity/fight-level sparring

Always keeps the sessions interesting and tailored

I’ve been doing one-to-one PT boxing sessions with Nat, and he’s been great. He’s patient, encouraging, and always keeps the sessions interesting and tailored. He explains things clearly, adjusts the intensity when needed, and pushes you just enough.

Personal coaching was extremely enjoyful

Joined this gym to get fit because I’ve been getting sick often from WFH arrangements. Learnt boxing for the first time with the coach. She’s extremely experienced and professional, knows every little detail about the sport, and I’ve learnt a lot. Personal coaching was extremely enjoyful, each sessions were carefully planned and catered to me according to my physical state, optimising the best growth! Highly recommend this boxing gym to anyone of any size, age or goal. Love love LOVE this boxing gym.

I signed my shy baby sister up at Pineapple MMA because she wanted a place that felt welcoming, not like a testosterone-fueled gym. She stepped in nervously and walked out grinning after her first class (all teeth intact, mind).

It’s a good place for technical training with a good cardio punch, right in Singapore near Bencoolen, so it’s easy for weekday visits. Newbies aren’t left in the dust, thanks to structured drills and technique breakdowns in her Women’s Community Class.

She described the atmosphere as warm and friendly, with zero macho posturing. The coaches made beginners like her feel capable and confident, which is a big deal if you’re not muscle-bound or loud.

The facilities are clean and truly women-friendly, with modern and well-maintained showers that don’t give her the ick. On the contrary, she always has a ball with the fresh towels, shampoo, body wash, and Dyson hair dryers, and comes home fresh.

Do note that membership isn’t cheap compared to some heartland gyms, and drop-in pricing can feel premium. It also doesn’t run as many women-only classes as its broader class roster.

Pros

  • Inclusive women’s community classes
  • High-quality coaching with real fight experience
  • Clean, well-equipped, women-friendly facilities
  • Strong, supportive community vibe

Cons

  • Premium pricing
  • No single, cheaper drop-in option

Shoutout to the coach and staff

Had my first class today, and it was a great experience! Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming to a newcomer. The facility is clean, and the atmosphere is just awesome. Shoutout to the coach and staff, you guys rockZzz!! Highly recommend!

The teaching was detailed and interesting

What a beautiful gym! Tidy and clean with funny trainers (funny until they start punching lol) and a good standard of teaching. I don’t know much about Muay Thai, but the teaching was detailed, interesting, and the classmates were nice. They have a tourist pass too!

4. Boxing Wonders

My colleague barely has time to breathe between work calls, so a women’s boxing gym was never going to happen to her. Boxing Wonders saved her sanity by literally showing up at her condo with gloves, pads, and a plan.

The classes come in the form of one-on-one private sessions, with the option for small duo workouts if you want to rope in a friend (or that annoying workmate). She said the trainers make her feel like they want her to win at life, and not just by stepping into a ring.

They’re recommended for busy professionals who want technique and cardio blended together, and not really hardcore sparring. Available island-wide, they can travel to homes, parks, gyms, and condo function rooms (meaning no MRT sprints or locker drama).

It’s an ideal solution for women who want strength and confidence without dedicating half their week to a studio. The coaches don’t run you ragged with random drills, but show up on time, work at your pace, and adjust the session depending on whether you’ve slept four hours or feel like throwing combos like Manny Pacquiao.

However, it costs more than group classes because you’re hiring a coach to come to you. And if you’re craving gym energy, sparring partners, or a big room full of heavy bags, you won’t get that from home sessions.

Pros

  • Completely tailored sessions
  • Balanced training blending technique, cardio burn, and strength work
  • Experienced, supportive coaches
  • Flexible scheduling designed around client availability

Cons

  • Higher per-session cost
  • No traditional gym amenities
  • No big gym atmosphere and sparring partners

Each session is customised according to your progress

I’m having a 121 session with Shoba, and so far, I’m having an amazing experience. She is very professional, flexible, fun to work out with, and lastly, having a female coach can relate and makes me/you comfortable. She will push you and motivate you at the same time. I felt that each session was customised according to your progress. I highly recommend her and her team for boxing sessions/training.

Shoba is a very detail-oriented trainer

I have been training with Boxing Wonders for about a month, and I am loving it. Shoba is a very detail-oriented trainer. The sessions are not just about getting a good workout; it’s about getting your boxing techniques right. The sessions are fun, and it’s always great to see that I’m making progress and getting a lot out of each session.

My cousin signed up for Legends Fight Sport after discovering they ran kids’ classes, too. She figured, if she was going to wait around for her pre-teen, anyway, she might as well lace up and throw a few punches of her own.

So she joined the ladies’ boxing class while her son jumped into the youth programme. I’ve witnessed them both walking out of their respective classes flushed, smiling, and rambling non-stop about hooks and jabs.

She was impressed with how patient and structured the coaching felt. The instructors break down things cleanly, with stance first, then punches, then combos. Even new boxers like her feel like they’re building real skill and confidence.

The ladies’ class is best for women who want a solid cardio burn with real boxing fundamentals, not just fancy footwork. Conveniently located in the Novena/Balestier area, it’s close enough to swing by after-school pickup or before dinner.

Parenting logistics aside, though, peak hours can get busy, and class spots disappear fast if you don’t book early. Legends is more practical than pampering, too; don’t expect spa-style showers there.

Pros

  • Free trial class
  • Dedicated ladies’ boxing class alongside mixed-group sessions
  • Structured boxing curriculum
  • Multiple locations

Cons

  • Relatively premium pricing
  • Popular classes fill up fast
  • Facilities aren’t boutique or spa-style

Coaches are actively helping everyone in the class

Legends Fight Sports has the best coaching techniques when it comes to learning how to box. In every class I went to, coaches were actively helping everyone in the class with improving their techniques. Coach Chase has always been a great coach to me. He breaks down combos so it’s easy to remember, so I can easily keep up, and we always keep it fun! I always look forward to coming in. The environment is friendly too; everyone I have met has been easy to talk to. Thank you, Legends Fight Sports, for this awesome space!
