The Best Breweries in Singapore That Always Make My Weekend Extra Brew-Tiful
There’s nothing better than spending the end of a workweek with a full pint of beer. The bitter-sweet flavor combination tingling my taste buds, the coldness washing down on me, and better yet, drinking with friends—oh, I just want the week to end already!
Ever since becoming an adult with my own hard-earned money, my friends and I have frequented many breweries in Singapore. These spots have made our bonding moments extra brew-tiful. We hope you and your friends like them too!

This spot features 20 taps of local brews as well as global brands, so there’s always something new to discover. My favorite is the Cha Chaan Teng Gose, which is a traditional gose. It has distinctive fruity flavors, especially lemon, so it’s a bit tangy, which I like.

I like ordering Freedom, one of the local brews featured here. It’s a Helles-style beer, so it’s full-bodied and mildly sweet. I usually pair my drink with a snack, preferably a cheeseburger because its richness complements well with the beer’s mild flavors.
Pro Tip:
- Some of the permanent taps, such as Lion Island Lager and Rocky Ridge Baby Peach NEIPA, have discounted prices!

If you’re in Tiong Bahru, then Canjob Taproom should be on your itinerary. This watering hole, which is located inside Link Hotel, is super cozy, and it’s also home to all sorts of craft beers, both local and imported!
My ultimate recommendation is the Lagerito Limau Iced. It’s a draft beer (craft pilsner, to be exact), but it’s also a cocktail since it’s mixed with white rum and mojito. This drink looks pretty—such a vibrant green—and I also love that it’s sweet and refreshing.
Pro Tip:
- Pair your drink with a snack. I recommend the classic pepper steak meat pie, which is savory and hearty. It will definitely fill your stomach!

Pink Blossoms Brewing has a fascinating history. Hong Han used to work as an accountant and tax advisor, but he eventually followed his dream of being a brewer after visiting many breweries. Now, he has made his own drinks, inspired by his experiences.
Never Say Goodbye has to be my favorite flavor. It’s in imperial stout with a full-bodied flavor profile. You could definitely taste the rich roasted malt flavors, including the essence of coffee, caramel, and chocolate.
This drink tastes complex, but the finish is pretty balanced, which I appreciate.

I’m fond of the Tropical Ale, which is surprisingly refreshing considering its fruity notes. In particular, I can taste pink guava, melon, and oranges. Sometimes, I actually forget that this is a beer, not just a simple juice.
For your meal, get the Wagyu beef brisket. It’s been smoked for 15 hours, so the earthy-savory flavors penetrate deep into the meat. The perfect comfort dish to pair with your beer!
Pro Tips:
- You can actually have a wedding at this brewery.

I really like the Kaiser Kölsch here. It has a low malt body and a fragrant aroma that smells of pears and apples. As for the flavor, I can taste muted fruitiness and vinous notes. All in all, this drink tastes like happiness, which is appropriate since that’s its tagline!

Situated in the chic neighborhood of Dempsey Hill, RedDot Brewhouse is run by a father-daughter duo who are both passionate about brewing and distilling new flavors. Aside from the brewery, this place also serves as a restaurant with a menu of comfort foods.
The Monster Green Lager is one of the most famous brews here, and it’s also my go-to order. It’s infused with spirulina, so it has a slight floral taste. It also has notes of champagne, which I like.

Beer enthusiasts know that German-style beers are some of the best kinds. Fortunately, you can find authentic German beers (and other treats) in Singapore, thanks to Paulaner Bräuhaus!
I usually get the Dunkel Dark Lager, which is rich and intensely malty and has subtle notes of caramel. For the food, I get the sausage platter, which is loaded with all the iconic sausages from Germany. These sausages are pretty salty and savory, so they complement my drink pretty well.
Pro Tips:
- Host your event here to experience Bavarian hospitality.
- If you already have a venue, you can book their catering services instead.

What I like about Temple Cellars is that it shines the spotlight on small, independent breweries from around the world. Because of this, I always find new favorites that I otherwise wouldn’t have discovered on my own.
I haven’t tasted many beers here yet, but I really like A Dream That’s As Real As Can Be by Cloudwater. This beer with a long, fancy name is actually non-alcoholic, which I appreciate because it lets me enjoy the fruity, malty flavors without getting drunk. It’s perfect for whenever I’m the designated driver for my friends.

I recommend the MINT 400, which is an IPA that tastes very fruity, especially pineapple and grapefruit. Aside from that, I can also detect notes of piney, floral hop that make the flavor profile even more complex. Overall, it’s a smooth drink; the bitter notes are moderate.

Another wonderful brewery that’s also a cozy nook is In Bad Company. I know the name might make you raise an eyebrow, but this place is actually oozing with good vibes!
I recommend trying the I Love Lamp by Rocky Ridge. This beer doesn’t taste like beer at all; instead, it’s like juice made of tropical fruits. I enjoy the distinct notes of pine, melon, and citrus and the crisp finish in this one.

- Book a private dinner with loved ones. You have several room options to choose from: the mezzanine level (which can hold up to 20 people), the main level (up to 26 people), or the whole place.

There are only 12 craft beers available, but don’t worry because they were carefully selected. The Slinga Sour is my go-to order because I love how tart and sweet it is, thanks to the cherry and pineapple. It’s also pretty smooth; it’s like drinking silk!
Pro Tip:
- If you’re hungry, grab a bite at Fatt Choy Eating House, which is Good Luck’s sister restaurant. It’s located right next to the brewery.
Picotin Brewhaus
— From: picotinbrewhaus
Address: 35 Rochester Dr, Rochester Mall

Picotin Brewhaus uses traditional German techniques without any pasteurization, so the flavors are sharp. Plus, they use flavors that are unique to Singapore, which I appreciate so much!
The Smoky Black Stout has to be my favorite. It’s deep and rich, the flavors reminding me of licorice, bitter chocolate, and coffee. The finish is also smooth, so I keep coming back for more. I just can’t get enough of this beer!
This place also has a food menu, so I often get the crispy wings. In my opinion, chicken wings and beer are a match made in heaven!
Pro Tip:
- There are promos every day, like discounts on certain hours.

The great thing about Druggists is that it’s so laid-back that you can come in with just your board shorts and sandals. I’m not even kidding—one time, I came here and there was someone in their pajamas!
The Strawberry Sundae is a guilty pleasure of mine. It definitely tastes like strawberries and cream but in beer form! The fruity tanginess from the Scottish strawberries is distinct, and there’s also a hint of vanilla. Oh, not to mention, it’s super smooth and creamy as well!
Pro Tip:
- There’s a dim sum menu if you want to eat something with your drink.
