The 5 Best Ramen Restaurants in Singapore That’ll Make You Come Back Again and Again

  • Broth Quality: The soup base makes or breaks the meal. We looked at how long each kitchen simmers its bones and whether they use artificial shortcuts.

  • Flavour Authenticity: True Japanese taste matters heavily to noodle fans. We checked if the recipes stick to traditional roots or offer thoughtful local twists.

  • Menu Variety: Not everyone in a group wants the exact same heavy pork soup. We assessed the available broth options, spice levels, and side dishes.

  • Accessibility and Hours: A craving can hit long after regular dinner service ends. We verified daily operating schedules to find spots that cater to late-night and early-morning diners.

Nothing beats the steam rising from a bowl of artisan ramen when that Montreal humidity takes a break. As ramen lovers ourselves, we’re always on the hunt for that perfect, lip-smacking umami bomb, and our local dining scene certainly delivers.

Surprisingly, you can find the best ramen spots across Singapore that are worth trying! To help you find your next favourite, we’ve rounded up the top options here.

We’ve even included some of the best Japanese restaurants for variety. Now, let us dive right in!

How much does ramen cost in Singapore?

1. The Ramen House

the-ramen-house

Website: theramenhouse.sg

Address: 6 Short Street

Contact: 6734 9294 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 5:00 PM – 6:00 AM

The Ramen House stays open until 6:00 AM every day, giving night-shift workers and partygoers a dependable spot for a fresh bowl.

They simmer their signature meat and bone broth for 30 full hours, which creates a rich, creamy texture without any artificial flavourings.

While the base stays authentically Japanese, the kitchen adjusts the recipes to fit local palates.

This means you get punchier options like their spicy Volcano and Mala ramen alongside the classic bowls, served with springy noodles that hold up well in the thick soup.

The catch is that they skip daytime service entirely, opening their doors at 5:00 PM.

Nevertheless, if you want a reliable late-night supper with bold flavours, a foodie friend of mine swears by their spicy menu.

Pros

  • 30-hour simmered meat broth
  • Open until 6 AM daily
  • Springy noodles pair well with thick soup
  • Bold spicy Volcano and Mala ramen

Cons

  • No daytime lunch service

The ramen hit the spot with a really rich broth

Finding hot, delicious food right near our hotel at midnight was delightful after walking all day. It’s a bit pricier than your average spot, but being open until 6 AM and serving proper, fresh food makes it totally worth it. The ramen hit the spot with a really rich broth, the unadon was tender with a great glaze, and the katsudon was thick, juicy, and super filling.

The broth was rich, creamy and comforting without being too salty

Enjoyed the chicken soup mushroom chicken chashu ramen. The broth was rich, creamy and comforting without being too salty. The chicken chashu was tender and the ajitama egg was perfectly done. The sashimi was fresh and thickly sliced, which paired nicely with the ramen. Overall, a hearty and satisfying meal.

2. The Ramen Stall

Address: 787 North Bridge Road

Contact: +65 6655 0800 | [email protected]

Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 11:00 AM – 1:00 AM | Friday-Saturday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM

It can be tricky for Muslim diners to find genuine Japanese flavours without pork. The Ramen Stall steps in as a pioneer in the Halal dining scene, simmering their signature broth for over 30 hours.

Because they use only halal-certified meat and bones with zero artificial additives, the soup delivers an exceptionally clean, comforting depth.

Instead of just cloning standard Tokyo bowls, they add a distinctive Singaporean twist to their recipes.

They even let you customise the heat on their signature Volcano bowl across three spice levels. This treats tourists to a fun local spin and gives heat-seekers total control over their dinner.

Keep an eye on the clock, though, because guests are held to a strict 1.5-hour dining limit.

Pros

  • 30-hour additive-free broth
  • Pioneer Halal Japanese menu
  • Distinctive Singaporean twist
  • Spicy level customisation option

Cons

  • Strict 1.5-hour dining limit

Great ramen with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles

Great ramen with rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The restaurant was clean, service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving a good bowl of ramen. Will be back again!

The ramen itself tasted great & was full of fresh ingredients

The staff are incrediblely friendly & welcoming even before I entered the store. I ordered a Volcano Ramen (Level 3 spice) & shrimp Tempura. The food came fast & hot and the service was top notch. The ramen itself tasted great & was full of fresh ingredients.

3. Takagi Ramen @ Ang Mo Kio

Website: takagiramen.com

Address: 31 Woodlands Close, #07-22/23 Woodlands Horizon

Contact: +65 9170 7870 | [email protected]

Hours: Available 24/7

High-quality Japanese food often carries a hefty price tag that hurts the wallet. Takagi Ramen skips the premium markups to serve budget-friendly bowls 24 hours a day.

This also means office workers and early risers can even grab a hot, comforting Japanese breakfast before the sun comes up.

Founded by a native Japanese owner, the shop relies on a 12-hour tonkotsu broth and handmade Hakata noodles to capture the relaxed feel of a traditional street stall.

They keep the quality high by preparing the meat carefully, braising their chashu slices for half a day so every bite falls apart perfectly.

But because they run a self-service setup with a tiny crew, the dining room often feels hurried and bare-bones.

Pros

  • Budget-friendly ramen available around the clock
  • Convenient for early-morning meals
  • 12-hour Tonkotsu soup base
  • Handmade Hakata noodles and tender chashu

Cons

  • Self-service setup with a tiny crew; rushed dining atmosphere

The ramen is tasty and the broth is creamy

The place is low-key and clean. It’s been my go to store if I am stressed. The ramen is tasty and the broth is creamy, my usual is the shoyu series. Their serving is of moderate portion, so it’s not too much for me. Had tried their fresh milk brown sugar milk tea which is also good but its just a lot for me.

Everything was comfortable and enjoyable

I had a wonderful experience at Takagi Ramen thanks to the excellent service from Abang Dan and Zhong Yue. Both of them were very proactive, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. Especially Abang Dan was checked on us regularly and made sure everything was comfortable and enjoyable. Their positive attitude really enhanced the dining experience. Great job to both of them and the team!

4. Hakata Ikkousha Ramen

hakata-ikkousha-ramen

Website: ikkousha.sg

Address: Apt/Blk 7 Tanjong Pagar Plaza #01-104B

Contact: +6565381880

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM | Sunday, 11:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Hakata Ikkousha Ramen brews their broth from scratch every single day, slowly boiling carefully cleaned pig bones to create their signature umami foam.

That distinct, bubbly layer on top separates their genuine Fukuoka-style soup from the instant powder mixes you find elsewhere.

For diners who want an intense hit of flavour, their Tonkotsu Black bowl mixes in a specially prepared fried garlic paste. It adds a deep, smoky aroma to the standard pork base, giving you a serious punch of roasted, savoury notes in every spoonful.

The main downside is their walk-in-only policy, which inevitably leads to long queues during peak lunch hours.

Nonetheless, for authentic, uncompromised Japanese flavour right in Tanjong Pagar, the wait is worth it.

Pros

  • Fresh broth simmered from scratch daily
  • Authentic Fukuoka-style tonkotsu broth
  • Signature umami foam adds rich flavour
  • Tonkotsu Black with smoky fried garlic

Cons

  • Walk-in only seating; long queues during peak lunch hours

Really nice ramen!

Really nice ramen! We ordered the signature and the karamiso, and both were so tasty we finished every single drop. The sodium level is definitely high though! 😂

The service was excellent, especially Rochelle—she was super helpful with our orders and kept our table spotless.

The only downside is that there’s no aircon and it felt really hot this evening. Eating hot soup in the heat was tough, but the amazing food and service still make it worth 5 stars!

The broth is thick with mild spiciness

A nice ramen shop near to tanjong Pagar Mrt.

Ordered the Karamiso tonkotsu special ramen which comes with 4 slices of meat and 1 flavoured egg. Also ordered a karaage as a side.

The broth is thick with mild spiciness. The noodle is cooked nicely with some chew to it (you can choose your noodle softness), the meat is nice and tender but I feel the egg is slightly overcooked, the yolk is almost cooked through. The karaage is also fried nicely, tender and not dry.

5. MENSHO TOKYO SG

mensho-tokyo-sg

Website: mensho.com/location/mensho-tokyo-singapore/

Address: 252 N Bridge Rd., #03-43 Raffles City

Contact: +65 8380 8467

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

MENSHO TOKYO SG serves up sweeping panoramic city views from Raffles City alongside their award-winning bowls.

They bypass standard commercial suppliers, stone-milling their own wheat in-store to yield fragrant noodles that rival the quality you would expect at a high-end omakase seating.

Now, the kitchen leans hard into premium ingredients. They pair rich chicken paitan with a medley of Japanese A5 Wagyu, duck, smoked pork, and chicken chashu.

They even craft a Singapore-exclusive Chilli Crab ramen that uses fresh soft-shell crab to celebrate local heritage.

However, that combined meat profile is a problem if you avoid beef or pork, as you can’t order their flagship bowls as originally designed.

Still, if dietary restrictions aren’t an issue and you want a truly luxurious dinner, book a table here.

Pros

  • Panoramic city views at Raffles City
  • Freshly stone-milled noodles made in-house
  • Premium meats paired with rich chicken paitan
  • Singapore-exclusive Chilli Crab ramen with soft-shell crab

Cons

  • Limited options for avoiding beef or pork

Highly recommended!

I ordered the Signature Toripaitan ramen, and it was excellent. The broth was rich, thick, and full of flavour. The chashu was incredibly tender and had absorbed the delicious chicken broth, making every bite satisfying. The restaurant also offers a beautiful view overlooking Marina Bay Sands, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

The ramen tastes like handmade noodles!!

I tried the classic toripaitan (with pork chashu), I added flavored egg and chicken chashu (should’ve just gone for the signature 🤣) quite pricy but definitely worth the price

The flavored egg is smoked! Very nice and interesting taste 🤩

The ramen tastes like handmade noodles!! Very healthy vibes and they are piping hot throughout the meal, it’s even hotter than the soup!!!! 😍

The soup is so so good (very rich and creamy) I just wna keep sipping on it 😋😋

Highly recommended!! 🍜
