1. Hayop

Address: 104 Amoy Street
Contact: +65 8028 9012 | [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Hayop brings a pioneering fine-casual dining concept to the table. They elevate familiar Manila classics with premium global ingredients like Australian beef cheek.
We actually tried their signature watermelon sinigang with Wagyu short rib last month, and the balance of rich marbling and sour tamarind broth completely blew us away!
You also get the authentic touch of unlimited fragrant jasmine rice to pair with those hearty stews.
What’s more, the kitchen stays true to heritage flavours while operating in a gorgeous heritage shophouse right in the Central Business District.
But you really have to plan your cravings carefully since they’re strictly closed on Sundays and Mondays.
Additionally, their impressive 48-hour roasts require serious advance notice, so spontaneous feast plans are out.

Overall, the food was great and I’d come back to try their other dishes
Everything was delicious and tasted just like the food you would have in the Philippines. There was nothing overly fancy or different about the flavors, which I think is a good thing. When you visit a Filipino restaurant, you want food that reminds you of home, and they delivered that well.
For dessert, we had the ensaymada, which was really really good, and a very small turon that was tasty as well.
Overall, the food was great and I’d come back to try their other dishes. It is on the pricey side, we spent over $150 for two people.

Staff were friendly and kind, service was good
Food was great, rich and bold flavours – elevated Filipino food essentially.
Highlights were the wagyu and watermelon sinigang: tender meat and hearty, tangy soup that hit the spot, soft shell crab Bicol express and adobong dilaw: with the bone marrow that made the already rich sauce even richer.
The cocktails were good too, I like that it was based on the different tastes – tamis (sweet), pait (bitter), asim (sour), etc…
Staff were friendly and kind, service was good.
Love the interior design too.

2. LECHON REPUBLIC SINGAPORE

Website: lechonrepublicsg.com
Address: 275 Thomson Road 01-09 Novena Regency
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 11:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Are you craving that perfectly crispy pork skin with a smoky, juicy centre? LECHON REPUBLIC SINGAPORE sticks to authentic culinary heritage by roasting their meats directly over charcoal joints, locking in incredible flavour.
They even offer an amazing lechon sinigang that infuses classic sour tamarind broth with that rich, roasted smokiness. It really hits the spot when you need a heavy, comforting meal.
On top of that, they serve affordable individual plates, so you don’t need to bring a massive group just to enjoy traditional offal dishes like bopis.
However, if you’re ordering from home, be prepared for a steep $80 minimum spend to qualify for delivery. That high delivery threshold is definitely a hassle if you just want a quick solo lunch sent to your apartment.

This lechon is slow-cooked to perfection
The Chopped Lechon here is a masterclass in Filipino roasting. The star of the plate is undoubtedly the skin. It has a glass-like crackle that shatters with every bite, yet the meat underneath remains incredibly succulent and moist. Unlike some roasts that can get dry, this lechon is slow-cooked to perfection, preserving the natural juices of the pork belly. It’s served with a mound of fluffy white rice and a side of pickles, which provides a necessary acidic crunch to cut through the richness of the pork. The signature sauce is thick, savory, and slightly sweet

You get a great range of hot Filipino dishes
Located at the corner of the row of eateries at Thomson Regency. Parking limited and the road works certainly made it a bit harder to cross the busy road as well. But it is worth the trouble and heat, to pay a visit to this place. You get a great range of hot Filipino dishes and cripy lumpiah and awesome Lechon roasted at the pit just behind the cashier!

3. Jollibee Lucky Plaza

Website: jollibee.com.sg
Address: 304 Orchard Rd, B1-19/24 Lucky Plaza
Contact: [email protected]
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM | Friday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 AM
Nothing quite beats the nostalgic pull of sweet-style pasta and crispy fried chicken.
Jollibee stands out by serving their signature Filipino favourites, like the iconic Chickenjoy and Jolly Spaghetti. It offers massive combo savings for budget-conscious diners.
They’re the ultimate quick-fix spot when you want a fast, deeply familiar meal right in the middle of Orchard Road.
And since they open early and close late, grabbing a hot breakfast or a midnight snack is super easy.
The biggest downside is their basement location inside an older mall complex. Navigating those crowded stairs and escalators can be annoying if you’re pushing a stroller or carrying heavy shopping bags.

The food choices here truly make Filipino people feel at home
If I had to sum up this place in just one word, it would have to be ‘comfortable.’ The ambiance and the food choices here truly make Filipino people feel at home.
There’s something about starting the day with fried rice and sausage that brings back memories of simpler times. Breakfast at this place is a refreshing change from the usual routine.
Sitting on the diner-style bench adds to the charm of this place. I appreciate the unique seating arrangement that sets it apart from other fast food. It feels like a cozy spot where I can relax

I had a great experience at this halal Filipino food place!
I had a great experience at this halal Filipino food place! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, which made my visit even more enjoyable. I ordered the Pansit Mee Hoon, and it was absolutely delicious—light, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I definitely plan to come back and try the rice and fish next time. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Filipino cuisine in a warm and friendly environment!

This is my first experience with Filipino cuisine, and I’m in love
You gotta try it! This is my first experience with Filipino cuisine, and I’m in love. My fav is Halo-halo; a type of dessert similar to our Ice Kacang. Perhaps I would fly to Philippine to have more of it, and I would like to try their street snack Balut egg out of curiosity.

5. Cafe Mary Grace Singapore

Website: marygracecafe.sg
Address: 52 Tras Street
Contact: +65 8983 8850 | [email protected]
Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
There’s always room for dessert, especially when it involves time-honoured home baking.
Cafe Mary Grace prepares all of their signature baked goods daily without any artificial additives, honouring authentic methods perfected over decades.
Their famous ensaymada, made with buttery brioche and topped with imported Dutch Edam cheese, strikes an amazing balance of sweet and sharp flavours. The pastries pair perfectly with their thick Belgian cocoa hot chocolate.
You can drop by their Tras Street location for an easy, casual meal, as they welcome walk-ins all week.
However, while flagship pastries like their classic ensaymadas don’t list nuts as a direct ingredient, they prepare all items in a shared kitchen that handles tree nuts. This poses a real cross-contamination risk.

High-quality bakes that earned it its reputation in the Philippines
Mary Grace, the iconic Filipino cafe institution, has come to Singapore!
As the first international Mary Grace concept, I’m happy to report that it has retained the warmth of service, delicious savory dishes, and high quality bakes that earned it its reputation in the Philippines.
My fiancé and I were served by Chinea who was hospitable to a fault. The staff overall were incredibly warm and inviting, making it a sort of “coming home” experience for any Filipinos and a perfect slice of Filipino warmth for guests.
