After giving birth to my first child, we started planning our Golden Month (30-day postpartum confinement) early because I didn’t want my new-mum recovery left to chance.
I knew that a proper confinement nanny agency in Singapore could give me back sleep, warm meals, and real peace of mind when everything feels new.
A confinement nanny is not the same as a night nurse (as we explain here). Night nurses focus on overnight baby care, while a confinement nanny supports mum, baby, laundry, and traditional confinement meals throughout the day.
The best ones can’t be found in just plain maid agencies because a MOM-licensed provider offers accountability, medical checks, insurance, and real replacement support if things go wrong.
Here are the ones that meet strict training standards and offer postpartum-specific care.
How much do confinement and nanny providers in Singapore charge?
In my experience comparing agencies, a 28-day stay-in confinement nanny package in Singapore usually costs S$3,200 to S$4,500. This appears to be the common market range when you go through a proper MOM-licensed provider.
Do note that the headline pricing does not include the monthly MOM levy (about S$60/month), insurance, and the customary “ang baos” (red packets) given at the start and end of the assignment. All of those can add a few hundred dollars to your total Golden Month budget.

AMR Maids was the agency my best pal used when she had her first baby, and honestly, watching her survive that first chaotic month was what sold me on the entire idea of confinement nannies.
They’re a MOM-licensed agency and are ideal for first-time mums who want structure and calm. My friend went with them for her Golden Month period and had both a confinement nanny and meal support.
She said the nanny she got knew exactly how to manage newborn care, her recovery as a mum, and even daily hygiene without much prompting. The nanny’s ability to cook proper, warming meals daily (not generic food) stood out to her and her taste buds.
There were no funny surprises when it came to billing, as prices were laid out clearly from the start. They also explained levies, insurance, and ang bao expectations upfront, which made her postpartum budgeting less stressful.
She recommends AMR Maids because of their strength in screening and matching nannies based on the family’s needs. She also appreciated their structured onboarding and after-placement support when small issues potentially cropped up.

Because of the hectic career that required her to bounce back as soon as she could after she gave birth, my cousin relied on STAR Confinement to help her out. She chose this agency because of its bespoke nanny matching service (plus, she got a free estimate).
The fact that it’s a MOM-licensed agency with clear safeguards for deployment and replacements made her decision feel much less risky. She arranged a 28-day stay-in confinement nanny who handled daily meals alongside newborn care and recovery.
She said she could immediately tell the training went beyond basic help. The nanny she got followed her unpredictable home schedule easily and cooked proper warming dishes that tasted as good as they were nutritious.
She had the real total cost laid out early (levy, insurance, and red money packet) even before confirmation. For 28 days, she said the quote started at around S$3,500, which she found fair given all that was included.
But what set STAR Confinement apart for her was how intentionally they match nannies for career mums, taking into account working hours, household help, and post-delivery support before assigning anyone.
There are also active coordinator check-ins during the placement and a ready replacement pool if the initial pairing is not suitable.
But because the matching is personalised, placements can take longer to arrange. They’re also better for full-month confinement support rather than short-term or occasional nanny needs.

Due to some complications at her family home, my colleague needed a confinement serviced apartment for her recovery month. She found that in Confinement Angels, along with a one-stop solution that promised a premium, all-in setup.
She was comparing freelance options, but baulked at most of them being non-MOM licensed. She didn’t want general helper experience, either, but someone confident to handle newborn care along with her own recovery routines.
After taking Confinement Angels’ free quote and consultation, she booked a 28-day, 2-bedroom serviced apartment package that already included yummy confinement meals, a dedicated nanny, a comprehensive care program, and even a couple of massage sessions!
The package cost her a little under S$3,000, and even included a free baby photography session right after she booked with the agency. The entire experience made her feel all the joy of being a first-time mum, and a pampered one at that.
Their in-house training facility gave them much tighter control over nanny standards and consistency, too. The agency is a rare one that truly feels end-to-end, bundling nanny support with confinement apartments and active coordinator follow-ups.
However, availability for popular apartment slots and trained nannies can be tight, especially during the peak delivery months of August to October when bonuses and annual leaves line up.

What really mattered to me was that they were comfortable following faith-friendly kitchen practices and adjusting routines around my religion’s activities and lifestyle at home. Pricing sat in the usual market range for MOM-licensed agencies, too.
More importantly, the nanny I got knew how to prepare nourishing, warm meals focused on rebuilding my strength while staying faithful to my dietary practices and restrictions. They also took my pet situation seriously during screening rather than skirt around the issue.

Very accommodating, as some mothers do not like the traditional rules of confinement. Services include massages and nutritious meals for the mother, and a photo service for the family.
