Our 3 Favourite Cardiologists in Singapore

Does your family have a history of heart disease? If so, it’s important to consult with a qualified cardiologist regularly to help maintain your health.

If you haven’t yet seen a heart specialist, we have information to assist you. We’re providing a list of cardiologists in Singapore who can address various heart-related conditions.

We’ll begin by discussing the expected costs of consulting a cardiologist in the area.

How Much Does It Cost to See a Cardiologist in Singapore?

The cardiologists in Singapore can be found either in both public or private heart clinics. The difference between the two ultimately boils down to much how patients are charged.

Cardiologists working at a private clinic charge about $150 to $200 for the first consultation. A patient’s total bill will balloon to about $500 to $800 because of follow-up consultations and medications.

The advantage in going with the private route is that there’s no need to wait for months for an appointment. Some heart clinics can give an appointment in as early as two days, which is significantly faster than in public clinics.

If you opt for a public clinic, expect to wait at least four to six weeks to get an appointment. You won’t have to worry about expenses though, because an initial consultation costs no more than $60.

You can expect to spend as much as $300 when seeing a public cardiologist, medications and follow-up consultations included.

As with most medical services, Singaporeans and Permanent Residents can apply for medical subsidies.

In order to qualify for subsidised medical care, you need to:

  • Be a Singaporean or a Permanent Resident
  • Obtain a referral letter from a Polyclinic or SAF medical officer

Foreigners, patients referred to a specific heart specialist, and patients referred by a private medical clinic aren’t eligible for medical subsidies.
