The 5 Best Eyewear Shops in Singapore for Quality Vision and Style

Pricing Transparency: Hidden fees for lens thinning or essential coatings can quickly inflate your checkout bill. We compared available base package prices and checked for extra fees on lens upgrades where details were provided.

Turnaround Times: Waiting weeks for basic single-vision lenses is frustrating if your old pair just snapped. We looked at standard assembly speeds to see which shops deliver finished specs on the spot.

Specialised Optical Care: We checked whether opticians provide proper options for childhood myopia management and progressive multi-focal designs.

After-Sales Support: Everyday frames inevitably loosen up, slide down your nose bridge, or lose screws over months of daily wear. We assessed warranty coverage terms, free adjustments, and maintenance policies to ensure your investment lasts.

An outdated prescription can cause eye strain and make long workdays uncomfortable, especially under bright office lights. The right pair of glasses should offer clear vision, a comfortable fit, and a style that suits your taste without exceeding your budget.

We checked published price sheets, turnaround promises, and frame selections across the island so you can skip the guesswork.

If you want a sharper look or need specialised clinical testing before buying new frames, our guide to the top eye clinics covers the medical side of vision care. For everyday spectacles and great service, here’s where to go for the best eyewear in Singapore.

Breaking your only pair of spectacles before work creates an immediate headache. OWNDAYS Plaza Singapura solves that panic with an express fitting service that can prepare eligible single-vision prescription glasses in 20 minutes once you pay.

Their quick turnaround means you can grab lunch downstairs and return to pick up your ready-to-wear frames without booking a second trip.

When we dropped by for a complimentary visual acuity check, their staff ran the auto-refractor scan promptly and explained my readings clearly.

You can also receive a one-year lens performance warranty that covers a free prescription adjustment if your visual needs shift.

The trade-off involves their specialty optics, as progressive, polarised, and custom tint options require added fees

Customer Reviews

They offered to make the lenses for free according to my prescription

I recently visited Own Days Glasses Store and had a fantastic experience. I initially went in to purchase new glasses, and to my surprise, they offered to make the lenses for free according to my prescription. They also provided the service of testing my eyes on the spot, ensuring I chose the correct power lens. The staff was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through the process with ease. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase and the excellent customer service I received. I highly recommend Own Days Glasses Store for anyone in need of quality eyewear and exceptional service.

Great product range of high quality frame and spectacles lenses

Good service, reliable, professional, great product range of high quality frame and spectacles lenses. Highly recommended. For high myopia and high astigmatism it’s very affordable and cheap as they charge standard price (frame only and nothing else). Other shops easily quote $600-900.

If your current frames still feel comfortable, their team can duplicate your existing lens prescription accurately after running a complimentary visual check.

You can also get free ultrasonic frame cleaning and physical alignment adjustments whenever your specs feel crooked.

3. Raylite Optical

raylite-optical

Website: https://www.rayliteoptical.com.sg/

Address: Blk 201-D Tampines Street 21, #01-1133

Contact: +65 6781 1133 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Sunday: 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM

Finding designer frames alongside precision lenses isn’t always easy outside the central shopping belt.

Raylite Optical bridges that gap in Tampines by showcasing more than 3,000 designs across 35 popular brands, including Gucci, Prada, and Ray-Ban. Having a vast collection in one spot saves you from running between multiple boutique retailers.

They work with lens companies like ZEISS, Essilor, and Nikon to craft tailored ophthalmic prescriptions.

In fact, a friend of mine who picked up clear single-vision specs here had her order ready in roughly 30 minutes since the lenses were already in stock.

It’s a bonus that they can reglaze your trusty existing frames at the shop, provided the material remains structurally sound.

However, browsing top-tier luxury labels like LINDBERG and DITA requires a pre-booked appointment, which limits spontaneous try-ons if you visit on an impulse.

Pros

  • Massive inventory of over 3,000 designs across more than 35 brands
  • Premium ophthalmic lenses from ZEISS, Essilor, Nikon, and Hoya
  • Clear single-vision glasses prepared in about 30 minutes when in stock
  • On-site lens replacement available for sound existing frames

Cons

  • Select luxury labels like LINDBERG and DITA require appointments
