So now, let’s get started!
How Do I Choose An Insecticide?
There are plenty of great options for an insecticide when it comes to dealing with ants. But remember that ants tend to come back, so if you want to get rid of them permanently, it’s better to address the root of the problem by using the best ant exterminator in Singapore.
Why Do I Get Ants?
There are plenty of reasons ants are swarming around your home. It can be from poor sanitation, such as leaving dirty dishes stacked in the sink, or not cleaning out crumbs. There’s probably just a colony nearby too.
There are 100 different species of ants in Singapore, but you’ll encounter these 5 kinds most often: the carpenter ants, pharaoh ants, fire ants, ghost ants, and crazy ants.
Carpenter ants do a lot of damage by chewing tunnels through wood beams, while fire ant bites can hurt a lot.
Pharaoh ants are harder to get rid of since their defence system is to scatter to multiple locations if they feel threatened; they also bite much like the fire ants.
Ghost ants are also similar to Pharaoh ants: they scatter and bite as well.
Choosing a Good Ant Killer
Plenty of ant killers are chalk-like or come in sprays. Some of the best ones come in ant gel forms. But these will only provide a short relief from the scourge.
According to experts, the best ant killer would be the type that ants would bring back to the colony. This ensures that it will kill the queen and will eventually kill off the rest of the ants.

Now that we know the tips and tricks to picking an ant killer, let’s go to the list of the best ant killer in Singapore.

Customer Reviews
Here are some reviews from Amazon about the this amazing product:
Worked well when ants managed to find their way up the wall to the second story of the house, under the deck door and into the kitchen trash can. One, probably a scout ant, even tried to watch Netflix with me on the couch. Suffice it to say I did not like the uninvited visitors. A lot of options went through my head:
1) Don’t keep food in the trash can (my dad’s recommendation)
2) Try to seal the deck door better – no ant sized spaces
3) Adopt an animal that eats ants
4) Move
5) Declare war
I decided the last option was the most feasible. After a few Amazon clicks, and days awaiting the ammunition, the battle began.
Day 1 – The troops held strong
Day 2 – Still strong, but definitely moving slower
Day 3 – Delerium kicked in. The troops were scattered and uncoordinated.
Day 4,5 – Even more delirium and a significant amount of troops “retreated”
Day 6 – Only the strongest and bravest troops remained
Day 7 – One lone soldier. I took pity on him and gave him an honorable funeral.
They have not tried to attack since.
Do I feel bad? A little…but they started it.

I apparently don’t live in a house. I live in a giant block of Swiss cheese. We’ve been battling an intermittent ant problem ever since we moved in. The first one we managed to combat with gap filler, but I think there must have been an offshoot of that colony that moved and set up shop underneath the edge of my carpet where it meets the kitchen tile. One morning I walked into my kitchen to find a full-on ant orgy in progress in front of my fridge. It was downright Bacchanalian and scarred me for life. I’m glad my children weren’t witness to such debauchery.
I thought I found another gap where they might have been getting in, so I plugged it with more expanding foam, and the problem seem to go away for a bit, but they were just laying low, formulating their next plan of attack. Ants started trickling out from beneath the carpet edge again, only this time I was done with that namby pamby gap filler. It was time to break out the big guns. I Googled “Best Ant Bait” and the first thing it pulled up was this product page for the Terro (which is only one “r” short of Terror–coincidence? I think not). I only needed to read a few of the reviews and I was convinced. I grabbed a box from a local hardware store (sorry, Amazon, even with Prime shipping, my problem was far too vexing to wait even one more hour), set them in all the strategic rendezvous points. Then I waited. It took a couple hours. And then the purge began . . .
I’ve used other ant baits before to limited success. Most just don’t do a very good job at attracting the critters. It’s like they’re hip to the Raid jive. But the other reviews about this product do not lie. Never in my life have I seen the crack frenzy that soon began, when literally hundreds of ants started pouring into these traps. I could see them writhing around in orgasmic euphoria. I could hear them laughing and clinking their glasses and making awkward late night sexual propositions with complete strangers. It would be like if a giant chocolate cheesecake had fallen out of the sky right in front of me. I would probably act similarly, rolling around in it, gorging myself silly, completely unaware that God decided to save himself the trouble of flooding the planet to wipe out the human vermin and instead decided to rain down poison disguised as dessert. Noah 2.0, I am not.
Admittedly, I do feel a bit like God right now. It’s been fun watching this microcosm of the apocalypse unfold with an aloof Mona Lisa grin on my face. I am a terrible God, but I am benevolent. These creatures died thinking they were having the best day of their lives, and that’s better than most of us get in this crazy world.
Thank you, Terro. You are now my #1 choice for ant genocide.
UPDATE: 24 hours later — Only a few stragglers remain. They’re staggering around helplessly, their bodies undoubtedly full of their dead, poisoned comrades. The bait traps that were once full of ants are now empty. I don’t care to imagine what happened to all of them, but since I’m a writer, I probably will. I saw a few ants in my downstairs bathroom and set one of the traps in there. A few ants became a few hundred. More death throes are commencing. LOOK ON MY WORKS, YE MIGHTY, AND DESPAIR!
-Allison Dickson
I was sick of ants coming into my house and finding my crumbs. I deployed the Terro liquid ant baits on a Saturday night. By Sunday, a steady trail of ants were coming and going from the ant trap. Clearly, word got out and the ants were excited to get everything back to their homes. I watched as they worked tirelessly to deliver sweet poison to their family back home. I watched and realized how many ants would die. Every time I glanced at the ants marching to and fro from the trap, I thought of how doomed their food scavenging mission was. I thought of their masses dying slow deaths – their old and their young alike. Yes, I was the evil super villain that was destined to eradicate their entire colony. By Tuesday, there were no more ants. Their blood is on my hands. With great power comes great responsibility. I am worse than Thanos. With the snap of the top of a Terro ant bait unit, I eradicated countless ant lives.
Immensely effective. 5/5 Stars. Obsessed with my newly found villain role and now have a sick hope of attracting a scavenging straggler from another colony so I can do it all over again.

Customer Reviews
Here are some reviews from Amazon about the this amazing product:
Our kitchen developed a problem with sugar ants (the tiny, 1mm slow ones), that would not go away. We’ve had them show up in years past, but usually they are gone in a month. It started at the usual time, around spring, but this time they would not relent. Months later, every crumb or whatever that dropped was covered with ants in minutes. They even got into the cabinets and ate through packaging to get to crackers, etc. – I’d never seen that happen before. No amount of mopping, wiping, vacuuming, cinnamon, borax, Raid ant baits, Terro liquid baits, stomping, yelling or domestic disputes had any effect on these things. They stayed around well into the winter months, when it was sub freezing outside.
I was so ready to give up and call the exterminator (my wife would have had me call long before, but I kept putting it off), when I heard someone talk about this stuff, saying its what the pros use. I put a few little tiny dabs (1/4″ drops) around a spot in the molding where they often seemed to come from, and within minutes there were ants all over it. Within a few hours the stuff was GONE WITHOUT A TRACE, and there was a noticeable decrease in ants. I put another couple of dabs down. The next day the ants were basically gone except for a few here and there (probably didn’t need to, but I reapplied anyway), and by the 3rd day there was not a single friggin’ ant anywhere in our house. That was months ago, and we are still high and dry, with no maintenance at all. I’m not that religious, but THANK THE LORD, and the person who mentioned this stuff.
The only downside, if it is one, is that this package comes with enough of the stuff to do every house on the entire east coast of the U.S. But it is still far cheaper than calling an exterminator. Also, it’s probably pretty nasty and unsafe around pets, children, etc. But you use such a small amount that it is fairly easy to control it.
-Doctor567
This gel works extremely well. My parents have small ants that invade their kitchen and pantry from time to time. Their exterminator leaves them a partial tube of this for spot treatments.
Place a small dot in the areas where the ants are and let them discover it. They will be attracted to it, but the point is that they take it back to the nest and then no more ants. Its hard not to kill them while they’re running to the gel, but patience will pay off and they’ll disappear overnight. I was amazed. And no dead ants left to clean up either. The gel can be wiped up after. It’s clear and doesn’t damage surfaces.
I was happy to find this on Amazon because the exterminator would not sell this to us. Probably so he can keep coming out to the house and charge for it.
The product I received was new and unopened. Recommend!

5. Raid Ant Baits
Price:$47.32
Limited Stocks At Amazon, Buy Now
Raid Ant Baits are quite innocuous looking, yet they can murder a colony in days. They can stave off ants for around 3 months tops, and these things are also quite easy to set up.
The manufacturer added adhesive to the design to help it stick to uneven surfaces that ants would often scurry to. It’s also made to be child-resistant, so children don’t accidentally open these pesticides.
Expect ant populations to decrease within a couple of days when you’re using this one of the best ant killers in Singapore.
Pros
- Easy to set up
- Quick kills
Cons
- Doesn’t work for everyone
- Only lasts for 3 months tops

Here are some reviews from Amazon about the this amazing product:
The ants were ignoring the baits at first so i figured it was a bad product, I noticed a lot more ants the day I placed it including ones with wings that i’ve never seen before placing the baits. None of the ants were going into the baits and just walking around it. I was so fed up and decided to just take a bunch of soapy water in a spray bottle to start killing the ants, by doing that though I ended up cleaning away all the pheromone trails that they leave for other ants to follow, soon after all the new ants that would arrive would go for the baits and by day 3 there was no more ants.
-Patrick Chae
Not all traps are equal. Traps that work for some ant types may not work on others. These work perfectly well on feral ants. The small brown ants that leave mounds of sand on sidewalks and lawns. That’s what I have so these work very well. Some of the one star reviews, I believe, are using these on the wrong ants. I highly doubt these would work for carpenter ants for example.

One of the best ant killers in Singapore, Golden Hammer Ant Gel assures total extermination of ant colonies when used. Its effectiveness has been attested to by several users.

With that, this amazing product is included in this list of the best ant gel killers in Singapore. We particularly like that it offers pesticidal effects on other insects while being largely non-toxic.
