How to Get There
Closest MRT: Take the MRT to Bayfront Station (CE1/DT16) on the Circle Line or Downtown Line. From there, use Exit B and follow the underground linkway to Gardens by the Bay.
Once inside the gardens, the Flower Dome is a short 5–10 minute walk, well-signposted and easily accessible via the sheltered path.
Closest bus stop: Alight at the bus stop along Marina Gardens Drive (Bus Stop ID: 03371), served by bus 400.
From there, it’s a short walk to Gardens by the Bay. Follow the directional signs leading to the Flower Dome, which is located near the main entrance of the garden.
By car: Parking is available at the main entrance basement carpark of Gardens by the Bay, with ample spaces for cars and motorcycles. Drivers can enter via Marina Gardens Drive.
Drop-off points are conveniently located near the entrance of the Flower Dome for easy access. For larger vehicles like buses or vans, there are designated drop-off zones nearby to accommodate group visits.

Wandering through the Mediterranean Garden in the Flower Dome felt like being in a postcard-perfect scene from Tuscany. The olive trees, with their silvery leaves, stood tall alongside stately Italian cypresses and lush stone pines, creating a dreamy, sun-kissed vibe.
What’s even more fascinating is the story these plants tell. From ancient olive trees symbolising peace to grapevines that fueled centuries of Mediterranean feasts, every crop here is steeped in cultural significance (and fragrance).
Drop by the South African Garden

The South African Garden in the Flower Dome is like stepping into a slice of the African savannah, minus the scorching heat and lions. It’s incredible how these plants adapt to dry, nutrient-poor soils, turning resilience into an art form.
From the striking proteas to other unique flora of the African plains, this garden feels like a masterclass in both beauty and biodiversity.
I couldn’t stop marvelling at the Fynbos plants—those hardy shrubs that thrive in the toughest conditions—and their intricate flowers and needle-like leaves.

The Australian Garden in the Flower Dome made me feel like I’d wandered into the Outback—minus the kangaroos and blazing sun, of course.
From spiky grasses to the iconic bottlebrush plants, every bit of flora here screams resilience, thriving in dry, desert-like conditions that would wilt the rest of us.
What really blew my mind were the fire-adapted plants—yes, they need fire to thrive! It’s like nature’s way of hitting the reset button, as many of these species sprout back stronger after a bushfire.
Go to the Succulent Garden

The Succulent Garden in the Flower Dome felt like stepping into a desert wonderland—without the scorching sun or endless sand dunes. With towering cacti and chubby little succulents, it was a visual treat and a beautiful reminder that even the toughest places can create something stunning.
What’s even cooler are the plants’ clever adaptations—water-storing leaves, spiky defences, and waxy coatings that make them desert superstars. The aloes, with their bold, spiky forms, stood out like sculptural masterpieces.
Marvel at the baobabs

Anyone will feel like a tiny ant next to these giants of the plant world. Known as the “tree of life,” these African baobabs and their cousin, the bottle tree, are massive, with bulbous trunks that look like they’ve been plucked straight out of a fairytale.
What’s fascinating is how much life they support—storing water in their trunks during dry seasons and providing food and shelter to countless animals. It’s like a natural convenience store for the savannah!

The Flower Field display in the Flower Dome is always changing, showcasing dynamic and themed floral exhibitions that bring new life to every season. Each display is a carefully curated masterpiece featuring seasonal flowers from around the world.
I was lucky to catch the Impressions of Monet show which vibrantly recreated the painter’s iconic gardens, featuring seasonal blooms like delphiniums, cleome, and sunflowers alongside replicas of Monet’s pink house and the famous Japanese bridge.

Its tasting menu is a must-try, showcasing seasonal ingredients prepared with flair. Don’t miss the langoustine with caviar or the A5 Wagyu with black garlic—both are showstoppers. For dessert, the Raspberry Tart is a sweet, tangy finale that ties the whole experience together.
