Led by knowledgeable guides, the tours provide a comprehensive overview of the farm’s operations, highlighting its commitment to eco-friendly practices and organic farming.
I learned about innovative techniques used to cultivate a diverse range of crops, from traditional Asian vegetables to exotic fruits. My experience with the guided farm tour was both educational and sensory, as we were invited to touch, smell, and even taste some of the fresh produce along the way.

As I wandered through the edible garden, I encountered an impressive array of fruits, vegetables, and herbs that thrive in Singapore’s tropical climate. Informative signs provide insights into the plants’ origins, uses, and nutritional benefits, adding depth to the exploration.
From the striking pink blooms of dragon fruit cacti to the feathery leaves of moringa trees, each plant offers a unique glimpse into the diversity of crops grown at the farm.

The rustic charm of the café, with its open-air seating and views of the surrounding gardens, creates a serene dining experience that connects you with nature. Be sure to try the signature banana bread or homemade jackfruit curry, both of which showcase the unique flavours and creativity of the bistro’s offerings.

The on-site heritage museum is a small yet informative area housing a diverse collection of artefacts and displays that tell the story of how agriculture has shaped the nation over the years.
Among the intriguing exhibits, one standout artefact for me was an antique plough used by early farmers. It showcases the manual labour and resourcefulness that characterised traditional farming methods.
Join a cooking class

I wanted a hands-on way to learn about preparing traditional dishes with fresh, organic ingredients sourced directly from the farm so I signed up for one of the farm’s cooking classes.
One of the signature classes available is the “Spices and Herbs Masterclass,” where we learned to prepare a traditional Singaporean laksa using freshly harvested herbs and spices. Booking your class in advance is recommended, as these popular sessions often fill up quickly.

One particular highlight is the sight of the colourful Blue Pansy butterfly flitting gracefully among the flowering plants. This vibrant species, known for its striking blue and black wings, is a common sight at the farm, often seen basking in the sun or feeding on nectar.
