The Best Brunch Spots in Dempsey Where I Dine After an Hour or Two of Shopping
Anyone who knows me in real life knows how much I love going to brunch. How can I not? I love mimosas and treating myself to delicious pasta dishes or steak frites!
Dempsey, especially around Dempsey Hill, is my favorite area for brunch. This neighborhood has a lot of quirky shops and a diverse array of restaurants that offer brunch. So I can enjoy shopping and dining in the same spot.
Of all the Dempsey restaurants I’ve tried, here are the ones I wholeheartedly recommend for a cozy midday meal.

- Friday and Saturday—8 am to 10:30 pm

Treat yourself to a gourmet brunch at The Dempsey Project!
I recommend getting The Big Dempsey Breakfast. It’s basically their own version of the classic English-style breakfast. You’ll be served with eggs, pork sausages, pieces of bacon, mixed mushrooms, and more, so you’ll really be full and satisfied by the end.
For my drink, I tend to get a smoothie because it’s healthier. But I also can’t resist a glass of spicy margarita.
Pro Tips:
- Book this restaurant as a venue for a special event.
- Check this page for any fun events happening at the restaurant like sake tasting and holiday celebrations.

What I love about Canchita is that everything about this restaurant is vibrant—from the interior design to the food. As a result, I’m always in a good mood whenever I’m dining here!
Brunch is only available during the weekends, and my go-to order is arroz con pato. The rice has a nice herby and bitter flavor to it because of the coriander and dark beer, and then, it’s topped with a duck confit that’s absolutely tender and savory.
Open Farm Community
— From: openfarmcommunity
Address: 130E Minden Rd
Operating Hours:
- Monday to Friday—12 to 3 pm, 6 to 11 pm
- Saturday and Sunday—11 am to 4 pm, 6 to 11 pm

I only checked out Open Farm Community the first time because I heard it’s a lovely farm in the city. But then I discovered that it also has an on-site restaurant, so now I come often to get brunch here.
I recommend getting the steak and egg. The steak weighs 200 grams, which is good enough to share with another person, and the runny egg yolk makes every bite even richer. I like that this dish is served with roasted potatoes, making it even more filling.

- They host farm tours here.
- You can book this farm as a venue for an outdoor wedding or any other private event.

P.S. Cafe on Harding Road combines modern design concepts with nature. The restaurant boasts floor-to-ceiling windows, so you can enjoy lush panoramic views of the jungle while eating a delicious meal.
My usual order here is the crab and prawn laksa because it’s so hearty and comforting. If I’m craving something sweet, I order the blueberry pancakes. The pancakes are fluffy, and they’re topped with berries, mascarpone, red bean compote, and crushed walnuts.
Pro Tip:
- Host a private event with your loved ones here.

Chopsuey Cafe is another restaurant created by P.S. Cafe, and fortunately, it serves brunch as well.
I love the fish and chips here. Their take is a sweet and sour fish, which I like, and the fries are so thick and well-seasoned.
If I want something more filling, I usually order the smoked braised duck and herb omelet. I love how the duck meat is tender and juicy, and the omelet is soft and aromatic. The dish comes with a sourdough toast that I use to scoop everything up.
Pro Tip:
- If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, let your server know so that the chef can accommodate your needs.

SPRMRKT started from humble beginnings. It was a small shophouse in the city center, but now, it’s a beloved dining spot in Dempsey Hill where people come to brunch and dinner!
Since I have a sweet tooth, I prefer the buttermilk pancakes with banana and chocolate. I love that the bananas are caramelized, so they become even sweeter. There are also roasted walnuts that add a nice crunch to every bite.

What I like about Da Paolo Dempsey Restaurant and Bar is that the vibe is very cozy, almost like I’m dining in the Italian countryside. That’s why I love coming here to brunch with a friend or two; it’s the perfect place to catch up with each other!
Since this is an Italian restaurant, treat yourself to any of the pasta dishes. My favorite so far is the linguine alle vongole, which tastes sweet and garlicky with slight notes of chili. It’s also topped with fresh clams, which is a bonus for me!

The Big Breakfast is what I usually order whenever I’m super hungry because it’s jam-packed with so much good stuff (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and more). But sometimes, I order the garlic prawn pasta instead because I love its spicy garlicky flavor.
If you’re in the mood to splurge, try the multi-course menu. The items change depending on the season, so you never know what to expect!

At Culina, you’ll definitely feel like you’re a professional epicurean enthusiast. Everything about this restaurant just screams fancy and sophisticated, including the food!
I recommend getting the lamb chops. The meat is so tender that it melts on your tongue, and it also tastes savory and slightly nutty, thanks to the sesame seeds. I like that the dish comes with carrots and peas to make it nutritious as well.
End your meal with a trifle, which has strawberry, rhubarb elderflower, and custard. It’s creamy and not too sweet.

- This restaurant has a shop that sells a wide variety of products—from cookbooks to wines.

Another restaurant located at COMO Dempsey, The Dempsey Cookhouse and Bar was founded by renowned chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. So you can expect to find premium European dishes infused with Asian influences here.
The crackling chicken is a must-try. The skin is extremely crispy while the inside is super juicy, and the accompanying sauce tastes buttery with a strong kick of spice. It also comes with creamed corn that serves as a palate cleanser for me.
Pro Tip:
- To make your brunch even better, order the unlimited champagne.

My favorite thing to get here is the uni cream pasta because I love how subtly sweet and creamy the sauce is. It’s also topped with Hokkaido scallops, which are also delicate and buttery.
If you love desserts, get the Sicilian pistachio, which is somewhat like an apple crumble but with pistachios instead. This treat doesn’t taste that sweet; it also has a somewhat salty and rich flavor, thanks to the curated egg yolk and parmesan.

The Big Breakfast with Sourdough is a winner for me. This is just like the usual English-style breakfast, but instead of pork sausage, you’ll have chicken harissa sausage, and the potatoes are roasted in duck fat. Everything is just savory perfection!
I also recommend the chai seeds bowl, especially if you’re in a hurry or on a diet. This bowl is filled with chia seeds that are soaked overnight, coconut and oat milk, and all sorts of fruit, so it’s a very healthy meal.

Established in 1992, Harry’s is a popular restaurant chain in Singapore, with many outlets in the country. Fortunately, there is one in Dempsey, so I often check it out when I can.
You can expect to find classic pub fare here. My favorite thing to get is the Argentinian ribeye, which is incredibly tender and juicy. The sauce it comes with has a nice kick of spice, and that complements well with the steak’s savory-peppery flavors.

I may be biased, but I genuinely think that Southeast Asia has some of the best cuisines in the world. Whenever I’m craving this type of cuisine for brunch, Hathaway is where I go.
The one dish I keep ordering is Straits of Dempsey, which is essentially butter chicken, scotch egg, and charcoal-grilled naan. This is such an indulgent dish—savory, buttery, and spicy at the same time—and my plate is always clean once I’m done.
Pro Tip:
- You can celebrate special events at this restaurant.

Taste the wonderful flavors of the Mediterranean by dining at Blu Kouzina!
I love the kotopoulo fourno, which is a chicken dish with roasted potatoes. The sauce is a mixture of herby and tangy flavors, and I love dipping both the meat and the potatoes in it.
If you’re dining with a group, order the meat platter because it has a wide variety of meat dishes, such as meatballs, skewers, and lamb chops. You can definitely feel your heart constrict at the sight of the platter, but it’s so worth it.

- Host your event at this restaurant. Or if you already have a venue, you can book their catering services instead.

The burrito is my absolute thing to get here. It’s filled with everything I love—chicken, beef, chorizo, frijoles, cheese, salsa, and spinach rice—so every bite is an explosion of smoky, tangy, savory, and spicy flavors. Plus, it’s so hefty that I get full after a few bites!
If you love dessert, try Kahlúamisu, which is essentially the Mexican twist for tiramisu. This treat has kahlúa, orange liquor, coffee, and chocolate, so it tastes very rich.
