The 5 Best Greeting Card Shops in Singapore That Say It Better Than You Can

Variety and occasion coverage - Do they stock cards for everything: birthdays, anniversaries, condolences, holidays, inside jokes, and oddly specific life crises?

Design and quality - Are the cards well-made, with good paper stock, printing, and creativity (handmade, local artists, pop-ups, and letterpress), etc.?

Personalisation and extras - Do they offer custom cards, calligraphy, name prints, or matching stationery, envelopes, or gift add-ons?

Price range and accessibility - Are the cards reasonably priced, easy to browse, and available both in-store and/or online without a treasure hunt?

Some people send emojis, while others (like yours truly) hunt for cardstock that perfectly captures sarcasm, sincerity, or both. If you’re firmly in the second camp, welcome to your happy place.

If you’re consoling a breakup, celebrating a birth, or apologising for eating someone else’s fries, these shops selling greeting cards in Singapore speak fluently in feelings and wit. Here are the best ones worth flipping through.

How much do greeting cards cost in Singapore?

A standard greeting card in Singapore typically costs around S$3.50 to S$7.50 for mass-market or boutique designs. More speciality or handcrafted cards often run between S$5.90 to S$8.50 or more.

1. The Paper Bunny

Hours: Daily, 10 AM–9.30 PM

The Paper Bunny nails the sweet spot between minimalist charm and emotional precision. Their cards cover everything from birthdays and breakups to “just because I’m dramatic.”

Design-wise, the quality feels intentional, with thick cardstock, clean fonts, and illustrations that say more than three paragraphs of text ever could. The shop also stocks matching envelopes, stickers, and gift tags if you’re the coordinating type.

Most cards cost between S$6 and S$10, which I consider to be the mid to upper range. I love the aesthetic and thoughtful designs here, and the online shop makes browsing dangerously easy.

Customisation isn’t The Paper Bunny’s main thing, though. However, the curated collaborations and seasonal cards make up for it, with gift wrapping and delivery options pairing well if you’re sending love (or guilt) from afar.

If there’s a con, it’s that the styles lean modern and muted, so loud or cheesy card hunters may feel underwhelmed. Also, prices can feel steep if you’re used to snagging S$2 cards from the bookstore corner rack.

Pros

  • Wide range of occasion cards
  • Premium cardstock and clean designs
  • Coordinating add-ons
  • Seamless online shopping

Cons

  • Minimalist aesthetic not for quirky card seekers
  • Prices are higher compared to bookstores

2. Art Friend

Address: Plaza Singapura, 68 Orchard Rd, B1-10 13

Hours: Daily, 10.30 AM–9 PM

Art Friend might not be a traditional card boutique at heart, but it still surprises in the best way. With its mammoth art supply footprint, you’ll stumble upon greeting card racks among speciality paper, sketchbooks, and craft tools.

The selection leans eclectic: holiday cards, blank watercolour-friendly sheets you can turn into cards, and art-style illustrations that can double as keepsakes. I’ve found the staff to be generally knowledgeable about the stocks, so far.

Pricing skews towards medium to premium, since much of what the store stocks is artist-grade rather than mass market. The perks go beyond cards, though: they offer paper in bulk, specialty inks, craft workshops, and cross-category drop-ins for DIYers.

Don’t expect a “print your photo here” station at the counter, as customisation is limited. However, the extensive supplies allow you to DIY your own bespoke card inside the shop walls, if you feel like browsing for ready-made is a treasure hunt in this craft jungle.

Pros

  • Treasure trove of art and DIY supplies
  • Unique, eclectic card designs
  • Knowledgeable staff
  • In-store workshops and crafting tools

Cons

  • Craft-forward store is not as intuitive as a traditional card shop
  • Strict refund and exchange policies

The staff are very knowledgeable

3. Giftano

Address: 1 George St, Level 10

Contact: +65 6908 5495

Hours: Open 24 hours

Giftano flips the usual card shop script by being mostly online and powered by Magic Cards. These greeting cards double as gift cards when activated!

The range covers birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, congratulations, quirky humour, and even sympathy cards, with designs priced between S$3.50 and S$6.90 on the Magic Card line.

There’s customisation, but it’s limited to message insertion and gift-activation choices (you pick the gift later via QR code). The shop also does free delivery for purchases above S$10, with the card-plus-gift option removing the need for separate parcel wrapping.

But because it’s largely digital, you might miss the tactile joy of flipping physical cards in-store. And the design selection, while broad, is constrained to what works well in the Magic Card format (where elaborate pop-ups or heavy embossing don’t translate).

Pros

  • Innovative gift and greeting card combo
  • An entirely online platform for convenience
  • Delivery parks
  • A broad range of holiday and other themes

Cons

  • No in-store tactile browsing
  • Format limits complex or quirky designs

Perfect for gifting any type of gift

Perfect for gifting any type of gifts, even if you are abroad! It is easy, painless, there are lots of great options for any type of person, and the CEO is a great guy, very responsive to any issues that arise with the third-party vendors and has a customer-first attitude that puts empathy and service at the forefront.

4. Paper Market

Address: 1 Kim Seng Promenade, #01-120 Great World

Contact: +6562356811

Hours: Daily, 10.30 AM–8.30 PM

There’s a seriously polished selection of greeting cards at Paper Market, which I can feel proud to send out. The online store includes cards for birthdays, weddings, farewells, anniversaries, thank-you notes, and more.

The designs come from boutique labels and local artists, which means you won’t find the same recycled Hallmark knockoff anywhere. The card quality is solid, too—good thickness, clean printing, and visual flair.

The standard price here is around S$3.95 for the standard greeting cards, which makes them accessible yet premium. Ancillary offerings include stationery, gift wrapping, premium paper, and curated gifts for one-stop gift giving.

The downside is that there’s no customisation like full photo prints or major card redesigns. Moreover, because many designs are boutique or limited runs, that perfect card you’re eyeing might sell out fast.

Pros

  • Curated boutique and artist-drawn cards
  • Consistent premium quality
  • Coordinated services like gift wrapping
  • Easy, user-friendly online platform

Cons

  • Limited customisation options
  • Popular designs sell out quickly

5. Klosh

Website

Address: 26 Sin Ming Lane, #03-111

Contact: [email protected]

Hours: Open 24 hours

Klosh is more than just cards. The shop positions greeting cards as part of the full gifting experience, with a catalogue of hundreds of designs by occasion (birthday, wedding, sympathy, baby shower, etc.).

They let you pick a card, compose your message online, and even opt for a “handwritten” message via a robot service. I find the process seamless with the card and message combo, and not having to deal with envelope logistics.

The pricing is decidedly modest, with most greeting cards listed at S$4 to S$11, depending on design and add-ons. There’s also free local shipping for orders above S$50, with custom orders taking between 14 and 21 business days.

There are extra services like sketch engraving, embroidery, custom gifts (including adorable pet pillows), and gift wrap options. These extras make it ideal for buyers who want everything in one place.

However, I do feel that custom ordering takes a long turnaround and is therefore not practical for last-minute gifting. That “robotic handwriting” feature also leaves me a little cold, as it might feel too impersonal or gimmicky to those who value real handwritten notes.

Pros

  • Integrated gifting and card experience
  • Other customisation offers
  • Wide occasion coverage
  • Free local shipping threshold

Cons

  • Long lead time for custom orders
  • Robot handwriting option may feel impersonal

Nice range of products!
