For my work profile, I picked Shoot You SG because it offers both half-body and full-body corporate shoot options. Let me tell you, Brian, the photographer, guided me on poses so I didn’t look frozen or apoplectic.
The studio’s style is clean, corporate-polished: plain white, grey, black backdrops only, with crisp lighting, and retouching included (skin/hair tone) so even a non-photogenic person like me doesn’t end up with two chins.
On the pricing front, the corporate half-body package is about S$90 with 20 image options to pick from, and one retouched softcopy will be delivered to you.
Full-body is slightly higher at around S$100, with the same session length (30 minutes), and the same backdrop options.
The photographers’ expertise shines through in how they can make me relax; for someone who feels awkward in front of the camera, this counts a lot.
The turnaround is decent, as I can choose the image right after the session and get the edited version shortly.

My workplace chose White Room Studio because its River Valley shophouse studio is huge, at around 2,400sq ft, with natural light and serious heritage charm. My colleagues and I didn’t feel like we were crammed into a photo booth, unlike the other studios we considered.
The services include headshots, corporate branding, and personal branding, plus on-site location shoots if needed. We liked that the studio does a consultation ahead of time so the shoot doesn’t end up like guesswork.
The overall style is refined, modern, and elegant with a mix of natural and studio lighting, so our faces didn’t end up flattened.
There were enough backdrop varieties so we didn’t look identical, and the staff are trained to handle large teams, so we were professionally directed and guided.
As for pricing, there’s no published “one size fits all” headshot package, because the studio customises per client or company size. We liked the extras such as the guest lounge, changing rooms, blazer and tie provision, and other perks.
However, because pricing is customised, you could have sticker shock unless you ask for rates and scope upfront. Also, the heritage/studio charm sometimes means lighting or setups are less flexible, since you’ll be working around architectural features.

Good thing we went for Mount Studio with its solid headshot services. It offers same-day sessions for a single person at S$280, and extra people cost S$90 each (I ended up using one as a safety photo for my blog).
Its studio facilities are impressive: three studios (Cyclo, One, and Two) with tons of backdrops (over 20 colours with muslin rolls), great lighting gear, changing rooms, props, a garment steamer, and more.
My brother got lots of options for background, lighting, and outfit prep. He liked the clean, professional, crisp lighting plus variety.
There’s studio or natural lighting for “fresh” outdoor style if he preferred it (he didn’t). Since they did retouch work in-house, the results were great. The final images somehow managed not to make him look like a dork.
He did complain about the price, though; S$280 per person is steep if you’re just doing LinkedIn or CV-style photos and don’t need a full studio-style shoot.

I’m told my blurry selfies won’t cut it anymore on LinkedIn, so let me tell you of my Firefly Photography experience.
The studio offers a Glow 150 – Corporate Portraiture Package for S$150 per person, with a 20-minute session, unlimited high-res shots, and the top 3 professionally edited photos. I couldn’t say no to that.
They’ve been in the game for more than a decade, servicing both corporate clients and individuals. The photographers have an instinct for the kind of lighting, pose, and background that helps customers look polished without looking frozen.
I was also provided a guide before the shoot, such as what to wear and how to pose, etc. It helps that the studio’s style leans toward modern and clean-bright, with nothing too moody or crazy-artsy.
The backgrounds are typical corporate (B&Ws, greys, and neutrals), with retouching only improving skin tone and light colour correction, not radical changes.
The thing is, most would find 20 minutes a tight window and might feel rushed if they’re picky about poses or want multiple outfit changes. There are also only three edited photos on the Glow 150 package, as more polished images would cost extra.

I had to be honest and tell my bestie that her corporate headshot wasn’t doing her sales job any favours (hey, that’s what best friends are for!). We took off immediately to ABC Photography near her office and got her ready for her headshot makeover.
The studio offers a Basic Corporate Individual (half-body/full-body) at S$88 nett, with 10 to 15 shots, and one selected photo for Photoshop touch-up as the studio photocopy. She opted for that, as she was on a tight budget at the time.
The style is clean and professional, with standard studio backdrops and lighting; nothing overly dramatic or gimmicky. It’s exactly what she needed for an updated professional photo: sharp, yet approachable, and the choice between business card vs profile-pic appropriate images.
The studio is fully equipped, with friendly and guiding staff who helped her become more at ease in front of the camera. They even helped her with her outfit and makeup, so she ended up looking polished and confident.
Her only issue was with the limited selected photos (just one, in fact) in the basic package, as she wanted more retouched images to use.
