I found Duct Doctors on Google and luckily stumbled upon a great business team. I suspected mold in the ducted aircon unit of my new apartment and asked Duct Doctors to come in for an assessment. They came in and found 4 pages worth of things that were not in order along with mold. They were very responsive and accessible throughout the process. I found the conversations very caring and understanding of my dilemma. Very sincere and straightforward business. Unfortunately, the landlord didn’t want to fix anything and I ended up moving out of the unit but were it not for this business I would be inhaling mold daily for 2 years. These days, it’s mostly airports, offices, hospitals, and schools that book them for duct cleaning services. Most jobs involve removing pet dander, dust, pollen, soot, and mould.
Kitchens fall under their speciality as well. That’s a lifesaver if your vents have been building up nasty smells from oil and grease (and one reason McDonald’s has phoned them before).
Big Red’s demand is something to consider, though. As noted, industrial and commercial spaces often hire the company, explaining their busy timeline.
And while many love their prompt responses and after-service tips, a few reports about staff members being unfriendly drag their customer service rating a bit.

Services begin with a rigorous inspection of air ducts, with the crew scanning for problem zones and contaminants. Data obtained is then turned into bespoke cleaning plans.
For the actual cleaning, toxic-free and eco-friendly chemicals are utilised. That means leaving the area during remediation isn’t necessary.
Raveen, their main consultant, also handles the comms front well. Same-day responses are the norm, and lots of clients appreciate the clear breakdown of reports or the work in progress.
The downside is they’re limited to cleaning and sanitation services. Clients who need their HVAC systems repaired need to book a different crew or shop for parts.
DeX’s portfolio is relatively light too, which is no shocker given they’re yet to pass the five-year threshold in 2026.
