Sing’Theatre Academy has carved its niche since 2006 with a strong focus on musical theatre and performance in both English and French. It’s the only academy here bridging Western and French theatre traditions, so of course I had to check it out.
The curriculum mixes acting, singing, and movement, so every class feels like a mini production. We also got exposure to professional stagecraft through its main productions!
I like how the seasoned faculty members bring their real-life experiences into the studio. As a result, a lot of the alumni have performed in local musicals, international school productions, and even overseas showcases.
We had access to rehearsal studios and performance venues so we could be stage-ready. The academy is also known for its outreach, bringing theatre into hospitals and community spaces.
The downside? With its strong musical theatre slant, pure acting students may find fewer specialised options. Fees for long-term programmes can also be higher compared to small, acting-only studios.
