The 5 Best Video Game Stores in Singapore Every Gamer Must Visit!

Stock range and rarity - We looked for a solid mix of new releases, retro titles, limited editions, and hard-to-find collectables.

Pricing and trade-in value - Are there fair game prices, transparent console bundles, and competitive trade-in offers for upgrading gear?

Authenticity and warranty - There should be legitimate imports, sealed products, and proper warranties for consoles, accessories, and refurbished units.

Community and service - We prefer staff who actually game, offer real recommendations, and foster a welcoming space for meetups, pre-orders, or tournaments.

When I was relatively younger, I visited so many video game stores that my wallet cried, and my gaming monitors nearly joined it. Hyperactive moments are real when you’re gaming (I accidentally head-butted my screen), but hey, that’s the only way to really get into it!

For the love of new releases and retro finds, I still sprint these days to the video game shops like they’re dropping limited-edition loot. So if you’re a fellow gamer in Singapore who has also almost sacrificed hardware to excitement, this review is for you!

How much do video games and consoles cost in Singapore?

Video games in Singapore usually range from S$20 to S$40 for older titles, and S$69 to S$109 for new releases.

Console games generally cost S$399 to S$799, depending on the model and storage.

1. Qisahn

Website

Address: 545 Orchard Rd, #05-11 Far East Shopping Centre

Contact: +6531593099

Hours: Daily, noon–8 PM

Qisahn won me over the moment I pre-ordered my Switch 2 without having the usual panic-clicking frenzy. Their stock range is wide: new releases, retro games, and collectables I didn’t need, but somehow bought anyway.

Their trade-in values didn’t make me feel like I was surrendering my soul for a newer console, and pricing here is generally fair. The bundle deals also seem like they’re designed by fellow gamers who understand the joy of squeezing out maximum value.

The merchandise seems legit: sealed, warrantied, and never sketchy, which is exactly what I’m looking for when I’m dropping hundreds on hardware. Even refurbished items looked clean, so I almost felt guilty checking for scratches.

The staff are also actual gamers who talked to me like a co-op partner, not a salesperson. I was even warned about which titles needed a day-one patch the size of a small planet! I liked the overall community vibe; it felt like a friendly local guild hall.

That said, the shop’s popularity means crowds can get intense on launch weekends. Also, some hot items sell out fast, unless you’re obsessively watching their updates.

Pros

  • Wide and well-curated range of releases, titles, and editions
  • Consistently fair pricing
  • Reliable authenticity
  • Gamer-savvy staff

Cons

  • Popular items sell out quickly
  • The store can get crowded during major launches

The shop allowed me to check the product before buying

This was my first time visiting the shop. Although it’s at an old mall in Orchard, it is still very conveniently located and easy to get to. I was hoping to get a Sega Genesis, but it was sold out. I’m mainly a Nintendo Switch gamer, and I noticed some great Switch games on sale. I bought the 2023 version of the Nintendo Switch Lite (Pink), which feels much better in quality compared to the 2024 Hyrule Limited Edition version that felt like cheap plastic I bought at another company. What really made me trust the shop was that they allowed me to check the product before buying. I also asked a few questions about the Nintendo account, and the staff was very helpful in answering them. The shop’s prices are really competitive, some of the lowest around. They even give you the option to buy the console without a game bundle at an even deeper discount, which I appreciated. Overall, a solid place for consoles and games, and I’ll definitely be back!

Very pleasant experience pre-ordering the Switch 2

Very pleasant experience pre-ordering the Switch 2 and picking up at midnight, although there was some mild confusion around indicating interest for the midnight launch, as you don’t get a receipt of your form, and I had to call the store to verify. In any case, huge appreciation for all the staff who stayed up late. Have also ordered several games/accessories from them in the past and will definitely continue to buy from them.

    2. Toy or Game

    Hours: Daily, 11 AM–9 PM

Toy or Game has become my automatic side quest every time I find myself in Tampines Mall. I always pop in “just to look” and somehow walk out with a new title every single time.

Their stock is pleasing to the eye; there’s Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and hundreds of accessories stacked like treasure chests waiting to be looted. Even some older or quirky titles show up like rare drops.

As a bonus, they’re also known for their Tampines-only flash promos, where certain Nintendo titles or accessories are randomly marked down for a single weekend. It’s something I rarely see at other branches or competitors.

I find the price reasonable, and their occasional promos hit like crit damage to my self-control. As for trade-in values, they are solid enough that upgrading feels more like levelling up than losing gold.

Do note that the space can feel tight during peak hours (weekends from 1 to 7 PM). Moreover, some niche or collector items may be limited, so timing matters.

    Pros

    • Strong mix of new releases, mainstream titles, and older stock
    • Fair pricing with frequent flash promos
    • Authentic, sealed products
    • Friendly gamer staff

    Cons

    • The store gets crowded during weekend afternoons
    • Limited availability of niche or collector editions

    Excellent game shop!

Excellent game shop! Good customer service and helpful. It’s located inside Tampines Mall at level 4. Highly recommended!

I’ve decided that this will be my go-to shop for console gaming needs

I’ve decided that this will be my go-to shop for console gaming needs in Tampines. I did a trade-in of an older-gen console with peripherals today and got a fairer deal than their nearby competitor. The sales persons, a gentleman and a middle-aged lady who attended to me (don’t know their names but would like to commend them), were friendly and were transparent with the price quoted to me for each item I was trading in.

    3. Gamewerks

    Address: #01-79, Clementi Ave 3, Blk 443

    Hours: Daily, noon–9 PM

Gamewerks became my nephew’s unofficial gaming school the moment we stepped in. He asked one question about controllers, and the staff immediately launched into a mini masterclass like proud NPC mentors.

We both found their stock range fantastic. There are current-gen staples, quirky indies, and even a small retro corner that feels like stumbling upon a hidden dungeon. We think the prices are fair, and their trade-in system rewards instead of punishing my wallet.

What makes Gamewerks unique is their Junior Gamer Demo Hour, where kids can try age-appropriate games under the guidance of staff. They speak fluent gamer, explaining mechanics, difficulty levels, and hardware differences with patience.

I think this is a rare, thoughtful touch you won’t see in most Singapore video game stores. It keeps young players engaged while parents (or uncles like me) can shop in peace.

However, their demo hours can create small crowds around certain displays. While not such a big inconvenience, it can diminish the free browsing experience somewhat.

    Pros

    • Great mix of current titles, indies, and some retro
    • Fair pricing with a trade-in system
    • Knowledgeable, patient staff
    • Unique junior gamer demo hour

    Cons

    • Demo sessions can create congestion around displays
    • Collector or niche items appear sporadically

So nice to go to a shop that has friendly salespeople

Got my switch2 today from here! All the way from Punggol. The guy is super nice. And very helpful. Forgot to get his name. But it was so nice to go to a shop that has friendly salespeople. Thank you again!

Walked away with 5 games from this store

Awesome service provided by Stanley! Was there initially to look for a PS5 console / switch games for our new home, thinking it’ll be a great addition to have fun together when there are guests around. Stanley took his time to explain to us the main differences between PS5 games and Switch Games. And that Switch games are more suitable for our scenario. Not being heavy gamers ourselves, we’re not sure what exactly to get, and Stanley has helped us understand what we need! Walked away with 5 games from his store and plan to get more stuff from him soon! Top-notch service rendered! Wonderful experience! Don’t feel pressured when you are shopping there, unlike other places.

GameMartz saved my sanity when every other store told me my pre-order was “sold out, try again next wipe.” They somehow secured my copy, and I walked out of the shop feeling like I’d just cleared a legendary tier quest.

Their stock range is reliably wide, with new releases, hard-to-find titles, and accessories stacked and waiting to be opened. I love how their trade-in system makes upgrading my console feel like a proper level-up.

Another thing I appreciate about this shop is its priority hunt list. It’s a system that helps customers track down sold-out titles and notifies us the moment the stock appears. It’s a godsend for desperate collectors, and the closest thing to having an IRL loot radar!

The staff knows their games well and will warn you which ones come with monster-sized patches or tricky learning curves.

Everything here is authentic and comes with solid warranties, which matters to me when I’m dropping serious coin on limited editions.

That said, their most popular items still vanish fast if you’re slow or too busy to reply to notifications. The store can also feel cramped during big releases or restock days.

        Pros

        • Wide stock range with both new releases and rare titles
        • Fair pricing and solid trade-in system
        • Knowledgeable staff who give practical advice
        • Unique priority hunt list

        Cons

        • Hot items sell out quickly
        • The store can feel cramped during big launches/restock days

Their response time was impressively fast

I had a fantastic experience with this store. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond by offering to pre-order a game that was sold out everywhere. Their response time was impressively fast when they notified me about the stock availability. To top it off, they provided a store discount without me having to ask. Highly recommend this place for their excellent service and customer care.

The sales rep was a great help!

The sales rep was a great help! We had reserved our PS5 set earlier, and the transaction was smooth. He explained the steps well. Great service!

        Hours: Open 24 hours

SpeedyNinja bailed me out when I forgot my nephew’s birthday and needed a game yesterday. Their delivery came so fast, it felt like a speedrun glitch IRL!

What makes SpeedyNinja unique is their lightning speed gift dispatch system, which is a same-day gift-wrapped delivery option complete with a simple card. It’s perfect for panicked last-minute shoppers like me, and is the closest thing to a digital ninja courier!

Everything (I ordered some stuff for myself, too) arrived sealed, authentic, and property-warrantied, which matters when gifting to a kid who treats game boxes like loot to be shredded.

Their stock covers everything from kid-friendly favourites to the latest triple-A chaos. Prices are fair, and their trade-in system doesn’t ambush you with hidden fees.

However, same-day delivery slots can run out quickly (I just got lucky timing) during sales or festive seasons. Also, some niche titles may be available only by pre-ordering rather than immediate dispatch.

        Pros

        • Fast, reliable, same-day delivery system
        • Wide stock from kid-friendly to new releases
        • Fair pricing and trade-in system
        • Responsive, gamer-savvy staff

        Cons

        • Same-day delivery slots get filled up fast
        • Some niche titles are available for pre-order only

        Fast and amazing

I was a bit sceptical at first, but they deliver the mobile legend diamonds to your account so fast, I literally went back into the app and already received the diamonds. Fast and amazing. They also sell Genshin and Star Rail stuff, too, will definitely buy them soon.

Delivery has been quick, and the overall transaction is hassle-free

Made several purchases with this seller before. Every time, delivery has been quick and overall transaction is hassle-free. 5/5. Would definitely recommend.
