The Best Tuxedo Makers in Singapore for Even the Most Discerning Gentlemen
I like to think of myself as someone who’s not really vain, but I admit I can’t resist the temptation to look good. And according to my partner, I look especially dashing when I wear a tuxedo, so every chance I get, I try to wear one.
Don’t get me wrong; I know tuxedos are expensive, so I’m not out here buying several of them. I have treated myself to one custom tuxedo, and it still serves me well up to this day. Whenever I go to a special occasion like a gala or a wedding, I feel like Prince Charming!
If you want to have your very own tuxedo, here are the top tuxedo makers in Singapore.
How much does a tuxedo cost in Singapore?
A truly bespoke tuxedo in Singapore usually costs between S$800 and S$1,500. It’s possible to get one for lower rates (even around S$299), but the fabrics used might be cheaper and lower in quality.

Operating since the 1930s, Piccadilly Custom Tailors is one of the oldest tailor brands in Singapore. Naturally, I keep hearing about it, and when several of my friends recommended it to me, I decided that it was finally time for me to check it out.
Long story short, they were right: this is an amazing shop to get a custom tuxedo made.
The main thing that I really like about this store is that they have a good variety of tuxedo options, which means there’s an option for every budget.
If you can’t afford a super high-end tuxedo, the tailors here can make you one using a 100% polyester fabric for S$299.
On the other hand, if you have the money to burn, you might want to get the most luxurious option, which is made with pure wool fabric. This one costs a whopping S$1,259!
No matter which option you choose, you can expect to find expert craftsmanship on your tuxedo. Even the cheapest option looks elegant.
One of my friends has the S$299 tuxedo, and the first time I saw it, I truly thought that it cost more. It never occurred to me that the fabric was pure polyester!
This shop also works pretty fast. I’ve heard that it only takes somewhere between 8 and 10 weeks to make a custom tuxedo for a client; the usual timeline is around 12 weeks. It’s even possible to get it faster by booking express service!
The staff here is wonderful as well. The main tailor is warm, approachable, and easygoing. He also pays attention to a client’s preferences, which is always a good thing.
That said, do keep in mind that their tuxedos include only the jacket and pants. The shirt has to be ordered separately; the same goes for other accessories. Some clients might find this annoying because it means extra expense, and I totally understand that.

Fast service, great quality
“I needed a suit for a black-tie event urgently within two weeks and Suresh made it happened within a week. What is valuable about Suresh is his vast knowledge in men’s fashion and professional advice. Although I was a walk-in customer at almost his closing hours, Suresh’s professionalism gave me the assurance that my needs will be sorted in his good hands, and he certainly did! His pricing is reasonable to the quality of fabric and the workmanship is superb! Will definitely recommend and be back for other tailoring needs.”

Knowledgeable and skilled tailors
“Having tried numerous tailors both in Singapore and abroad, I can confidently say that Suresh stands out as the most knowledgeable and skilled of them all! Not only is he incredibly friendly, but he also took the time to guide me through my options with patience and expertise. His collection of fabrics is extensive, each with its own unique feel, and his deep understanding of styles, materials, and designs is truly impressive. While the sheer number of choices could have been overwhelming, Suresh’s warm and approachable demeanor made the entire process seamless and enjoyable. I had a suit, several casual shirts, and my stunning wedding tuxedo made by him, and every piece fit perfectly— like a glove! I felt amazing wearing them and received countless compliments from friends and guests at my wedding! I would highly recommend going here and asking for Suresh. It’s definitely a session you’ll learn a lot from!”

Edit Suits Co. is a well-respected brand in Great Britain, so I was thrilled to learn that they now have an outlet in Singapore. The days of me looking at their suits and tuxedos on their official Instagram are over; I can now have one made right here where I live!
The process here is pretty thorough and fast. First, you have to stop by the store to have a one-on-one appointment where you meet with one of their stylists.
This appointment is your chance to let the stylist know what you want, and they’ll come up with a plan based on that. They’ll provide you with a lookbook detailing the different fabrics and styles they offer, as well as a full range of customisations, so don’t hesitate to get creative.
Once you’ve decided on your preferred tuxedo style, your tailor will then take your measurements. After that, it’s just a matter of waiting. But don’t worry, you won’t have to wait long because they usually finish products within 3–5 weeks!
That said, keep in mind that they won’t deliver to your house. Instead, you have to pick your tuxedo from the store. This setup is intentional to make things more convenient for you, should you want to make any final tweaks.
The materials here are also of premium quality. Their wool fabrics are so soft to the touch, while the 100% cotton ones are silky and lightweight.
They also create tuxedos made with bamboo fabrics, which are even silkier and more lightweight than cotton. Bamboo tuxedos are also breathable, making them perfect for people living in tropical climates like ours.
Since everything about this shop is high-end, it’s not a surprise to discover that the prices reflect that. A full tuxedo set will cost you at least S$1,000! You can purchase the tuxedo pieces individually if you want, but doing this over time might have you spending more instead.

Excellent quality
“I had a great experience with Edit Suits while getting my tuxedo made. The pricing was affordable, and I appreciated their fitting process, which ensured I had a size that fit perfectly from the first appointment. The quality of the tuxedo was excellent, and the final outcome exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!”

Smooth process
“I recently had a very positive experience with Edit Suits for my wedding attire, opting for a made-to-measure double-breasted tuxedo and shirts. The fit and quality of both items were exceptional and precisely what I had hoped for. The service provided by Yemi was notably professional, reassuring and fun(!), ensuring a smooth process throughout. This experience has certainly made me a returning customer, and I would confidently recommend Edit Suits to others seeking quality tailoring. Their attention to detail and customer service made a significant difference during the busy wedding preparation period.”

Speaking of tailor shops specialising in English-style tailoring, another great recommendation is Fashion Tailors. This shop was founded by a tailor who spent some time working in London’s Savile Row (an area best known for its array of premium tailoring shops for men), so if you want to look like you just stepped out of a Bridgerton set, this place is for you.
The tailors here are incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and you can see this for yourself when you book a consultation. In just a few minutes of you describing your preferences, the stylist assigned to you will come up with a rough design.
They’ll then show you the different materials they like to use in their clothes, so feel free to touch them to see which one you like the best.
Once you’ve chosen your style and your materials, it’s time for the tailors to whip up your very own bespoke tuxedo. It takes a few weeks for this to happen, but most clients don’t mind the wait. After all, their tuxedos came in perfect condition, with little to no tweaks needed, so for them, the wait is worth it.
Do keep in mind that this shop prefers to have its clients order the tuxedo pieces individually instead of ordering them as a set. On the one hand, this can be a good thing if you only need one piece, but on the other hand, if you prefer buying your tuxedos in sets, then you’ll have to cough up more cash.
Can’t afford to buy a tuxedo? Don’t worry, because this shop has a rental option! This is a much more cost-effective choice, especially if you just need the tuxedo for one special occasion. Their array of tuxedo rentals is extensive as well; they have options for both adults and children.

It’s hard not to hear of Mohan’s Custom Tailors. This is one of the oldest tailors in Singapore, and it’s popular and beloved so much that it’s actually received recognition from renowned institutions like the Singapore Tourism Board.
This is also where I bought my one and only tuxedo, and it still looks as good as new, so I have to recommend this place to anyone who will listen.
It has been a few years since I got my tuxedo here, but I can still remember the process, which was smooth and fast. I asked other clients, especially those who had recent purchases, and it seems like the process still remains the same. I’m glad to hear that.
First, you have to book a consultation with one of the stylists here. The consultation is informal and laid-back, and the stylist is warm and friendly.
For the first half of the appointment, the stylist will be asking you random personal questions (e.g., what’s your favorite hobby and the like), and then for the next half, you’ll be getting down to business (e.g., what tuxedo style you prefer and where you’re going to wear the tuxedo).
After the consultation, it’s time for the cutting and fitting. The tailors here are meticulous when it comes to measurements. They will measure 20 different areas from your neck to your ankle! I thought it was excessive, but eventually, I learned that it’s for the best, because it ensures that the tuxedo only fits me.
The materials and craftsmanship have to be commended as well because they’re amazing. This shop has an insane array of high-quality materials; specifically, 1,000 different types of fabrics like wool, cashmere, silk, linen, and more.
As for the craftsmanship, the stitches are pretty even and clean, which is impressive considering that most of the tuxedos here are hand-sewn!
The tailors here work fast as well. It usually just takes them seven days to finish a suit. And if you’re in a rush, they can even do it within 24 hours!
They deliver worldwide as well, which makes me happy to hear! They usually ship via DHL or FedEx, so your tuxedo can get safely to your location in no time at all.
If I have to be nitpicky, I’ll say that sometimes, the staff doesn’t communicate well. I’ve heard stories of clients not liking the experience because they didn’t know that the price they were given didn’t include the GST. This misunderstanding could’ve been solved if the staff had informed the client beforehand.

They take the time to understand your preferences and needs, offering expert advice while making sure you’re completely happy with the final result. Their commitment to excellence remains consistent! If you’re looking for custom tailoring that combines top-notch quality with genuine care for the customer, I highly recommend Mohan’s Custom Tailors!!!”

Experienced tailor
“Heard about this place a long time ago. Decided to make a suit here finally. Wow. The results are perfect. Didn’t even need to alter the final product. Just collect and wear for the event. Max Mohan has been doing this for 53 years. Talk about experience. Must make your suits here. Prices are well worth it. And the material. No need buying it off the shelf. This is THE place!”

The experience of getting a tuxedo at SuitYourself feels like a scene from a sci-fi movie. The interior is sleek and simplistic, and the shop also uses tools that look like they belong in a high-tech lab!
The tool that gives me sci-fi vibes is the in-house 3D body scanner. Essentially, you have to step into a human-sized rectangular box, which has a body scanner that captures over 100 body measurements in seconds—yes, you read that right!
Once the scanner has your measurements, it will then analyse and project millions of invisible dots to create your body silhouette. The tailor will then use this data when making your tuxedo.
This unique measurement process is a game-changer because it ensures that the tailor gets a precise cut and that the tuxedo only has one size: yours. This process also eradicates guesswork and reduces alteration.
True enough, I asked around, and many of their former clients told me that they didn’t request any alterations once they received their tuxedos.
I also really like their array of products. You can get the classic tuxedo made of the finest wool fabric that needs delicate care, but they also have tuxedos made with machine-washable wool. This type of fabric is extra stretchy and, well, machine-washable—the perfect choice if you hate going to the dry cleaners.
As for the speed of the tailoring, it’s relatively fast. It usually ranges around 6–8 weeks, but sometimes, it can get up to 10. This timeline isn’t too bad. Considering how meticulous the tailors here are, I’d say that the wait is more than worth it.
The downside of this shop is that the prices are super expensive. In fact, the cheapest option is S$850, while the most expensive can reach up to S$4,625!
Fortunately, this shop loves to run special promotions from time to time. One such promotion you can enjoy is getting two fine suits for only S$2,700.

Authentic fabrics, excellent service
“It’s been a great experience getting my suits and shirts tailored by Lester and Sheryl. As a returning customer (previously had my wedding suit done when they were still at Far East Plaza), I can say that the level of quality, detail and service from SuitYourself is still there, if not, has gotten even better over the years. There is a wide selection of fabric to choose from, ranging from cotton blends to 100% merino wool to luxury house mills. Lester and Sheryl are extremely knowledgeable in their work and were patient with answering all my questions. I brought my wife and kid along for each visit (customisation, fittings), and the warmth that Lester and Sheryl had shown to my family was truly much appreciated. This authenticity goes beyond the typical tailoring experience and it’s not something that can be easily replaced (not even by AI!). Thank you, Lester and Sheryl! I would definitely be back again, 10/10 would recommend.”

Vast array of customization options
“I had an exceptional experience at this tailor, where I custom-made my wedding suit. The quality of the material was outstanding, and I received expert advice from Lester and Sheryl, who demonstrated a deep understanding of suiting. What impressed me most was the vast array of customization options available, allowing me to create a truly unique and personalized garment. The team’s passion for their craft was evident and inspiring – it’s clear they take pride in helping clients look and feel their best.”
